i agree with you but me and you are not part of these families ..... or part of this ...... culture ....
These storylines still play well with South Korean audiences, so I guess that's why we constantly see repeats of the same themes in these dramas.

The younger generation is moving away from these types of archaic ways. Even the younger Chaebols are no longer down with transactional marriages. The government is now encouraging marriages, no matter how they come about, due to the low birth rate.

Respect for elders, marriage as a "union of families" rather than just two individuals and no experience in setting boundaries.

Zango almost always, without fail, crafts a better story than the actual writers of these dramas.

Dual‑Temperature Revenge Analysis Jang Mi’s revenge operates on two temperatures — cold and hot — because…
I am not disagreeing with your post. I always enjoy them. However, this is the way I see things.

Jang Mi should be looking to protect her grandfather's company, not Baek Ho, who may be important to her but is not Hwa Yeong's target. The company is, and Baek Ho is just a tool to keep her in check, and she has walked face-first into Hwa Yeong's trap instead of setting one of her own.

For Hwa Yeong's plan to work, all Jang Mi has to do is marry Jun Ho. Hwa Yeong will then carry out the rest by eliminating her as soon as possible after the wedding. Jang Mi won't be around to get revenge, protect her family, or Baek Ho. Jang Mi is now in the position of having to count events out of her control, changing the landscape in her favor.

junho doesnt care about his father affair ... he doesnt care about his mother revenge on his bio-mom/father ...…
After all the things you mentioned, there should be five alarm fire bells going off in Jang Mi's head that getting married to Jun Ho, even for revenge purposes on her part, is an extremely bad idea. He is the type who will never let her go. He doesn't love her as much as he wants to possess her, just as his mom wants to possess Dream. At this point, I wouldn't want Seo Rin, who actually likes him, to marry him.

I hope Eun Hyeong's wife gives Eun Ae back the money before she leaves. And I hope she goes through with the divorce.…
I wish Eun Ae had not given and gave that money to them in the first place. It was totally unfair treatment by Mom as well as the Sister-in-Law to guilt trip into it while insulting her in the process. I hate both of them for doing that. She may not get the money back. This was not Eun Ae's problem. This culture of doing everything for the son at the expense of everyone else sucks.

I think Hwa Yeong's plan is to eliminate the Chairman, Jang Mi and trap Seo Rin in marriage. Jun Ho gets everything because Seo Rin will be an heir with no say.

another 50 ep is like starting over ......
We got a lot of stupid to look forward to. 90 percent of it will probably come from Jang Mi's poor decision making and the Chairman trying to cover up to protect the stock price.

The Chairman needs to wake up. The wedding is not the endgame here. The theft of his company by someone who never deserved it in the first place is.

Jang Mi should be ashamed of herself. Yeong Ja has done what she should have and could have done a while ago. Instead, she is hurting the one she claims to love and playing right into the hands of the person planning to steal her family's company.

Jang Mi needs to stop and go home to the side dish shop. She is still sitting there on the couch, looking as though she has no clue how to respond to new developments.

'The First Man' will be extended by 20 episodes. The MBC daily drama 'The First Man' (Planning: Namgung Seong-woo, Jang Jae-hoon / Director: Kang Tae-heum / Screenplay: Seo Hyun-ju, Ahn Jin-young / Production: MBC C&I) was originally planned for 120 episodes, but has been extended by 20 episodes, equivalent to four weeks. This decision was made because the series proved its true commercial value by consistently ranking at the top of IPTV VOD charts since its broadcast, and achieved unrivaled success by standing shoulder-to-shoulder with miniseries in TV-OTT buzz indices.
