Looks like this drama is going to be rushed towards the ending and have a Yunxi kind of ending (I really hope I am wrong). It's almost half of the drama and nothing tangible has happened yet. Just foreshadowing, investigations and back to square one. So, far it's entertaining, but I keep waiting for something major to happen and they return to where they started. For all the calamities foreshadowed, they need more episodes to tell it properly.
Okay, I just finished ep36. Man I liked most of the proposal part. Although I feel like the Du Lei part got cut…
Only Yuan Shuai and Jiang Jun, knew and had evidence of Du Lei's crime. At the meeting with YS, he agreed as he had once helped him and JiangJun, he would not report him to the officials but he also has to leave MH and stay away from further crimes. I think that's fair, seeing that JiangJun did not want to report him in the first place. As for pay cut, that's about employing JiangJun's former colleague and JJ did not get a consequence because it was Du Lei's plan.
A solid 9.5 for me because this drama entertained me a lot. It's a cheesy rom-com and kept me wanting more. Of course, the chemistry of the lead actors is what makes this drama spectacular. I still do not like the cinematography nor the loopholes here and there. But, I love it for the great entertainment it provided. PS: I haven't seen this much "skinship" in Chinese drama before. They are becoming less conservative I see. I am looking forward to more portrayal of real relationships, aka skinship ?.
Me too. And agree that violence is not the solution too....as long as it's not fatal, I guess :P
Honestly, I prefer to watch Chinese actors who have a mature look, over the ever young (childish looking) ones. I know there is a huge Idol market in Asia, but they're hardly taken as serious actors. I was surprised Bai Lu is 26 years. She carries herself well and you can see her talent. I look forward to more of her work.
Why do most Chinese dramas introduce major plot twists and sometimes even new characters just when the drama has few episodes left? Yikes! This is why most of their endings are a disaster and rushed. Fingers crossed that this one doesn't meet same fate with all the new twists about to happen with so little episodes left.
This is such a cheesy rom-com drama. There are many issues that I find with it, but I will place a 7 star ratings on it for now because it’s makes me laugh, and the chemistry between the lead couple is great.
Just started seeing this. Let me see how it goes. The colour-grading though is very distracting. Who edited this show, it feels like he was playing with contrast and tones SMH!
For the first time, I am fully satisfied with the ending of a contemporary Chinese drama (if not even Chinese drama as a whole). I loved this drama a lot. Tong Yao (Gu Jia) is a really good actress. Out of all the female leads, I felt her emotions more (the joy, sadness, excitement, all of it). A 9.5/10 for me.
I was really satisfied with today’s episodes and the preview of tomorrow’s episodes are even more satisfying.…
I’ve seen them all, but this one beats them all. I have not skipped a part of this drama, but in the others, I would skip some scenes (some parts of Ode to Joy 1 & 2 were too childish for me, so also the First Half of my life). It’s how good I like it. Maybe because it’s tackling an issue and age I’m relatable to. Or issues I’m a bit aware of by years living in China. In all, Nothing but 30 has a better production quality too.
YY & XHS truly deserve each other and every bad thing that will come their way in the future. When she sent him…
It's why I love the drama so much, all the actors embody their characters so well that you forget it's acting. I look at Tong Yao's (Gu Jia) character from Like a Flowing River, and in this drama, so different, yet, she embodied them so perfectly, you think she's indeed the person. I will watch out for her dramas now. All the ones (contemporary drama) I have seen her in are all matured content. I guess people like her focus on acting as a craft than "Idol" type of dramas. Although I didn't finish the Get Married or Not drama yet.
This Lin You You is so greedy and is definitely a psycho. She wanted to enter Gu Jia’s apartment by all means.…
I was really satisfied with today’s episodes and the preview of tomorrow’s episodes are even more satisfying. Can’t wait. XuHuanShan had the opportunity to confess and beg for forgiveness, but het grew it away. Now, he will get no pity from Gu. This is a really great production.
That young girl wants the wifey position. This means she will not stop to rest while trying to break up the marriage.…
It's been proven that he's not the most smart person. From the story, Gu Jia made the fireworks company a success. He's talented, yes, but without Gu Jia's push and ambition, he would have remained simply a fireworks designer, earning a salary. He would not even have the luxury to afford a Mistress as he is doing now. So, it's not a surprise he couldn't effectively have an affair either.
