There's no episodes cut, that's a fake news and don't spread it. The original script was 24 episodes, 40 episodes…
There is a list from China's State Administration of Radio and Television back in May that showed that some dramas will have their episode cut down. One of drama is Our Generation that initially will have 40 eps but it cut down to 24.
