Yes, I definitely agree with you. K-dramas are gradually becoming more like American tv shows. The reason I started watching k-dramas is that the short and sweet plots (16-20 eps) appealed to me. As the years go by, I find myself indulging that desire of the dramas I fell in love with originally in k-drama land in other Asian shows like C-drama, lakorns, or even some Taiwanese. Your article describes my exact problem. The last k-drama I've watched was in January (One Spring Night). While the leads had great chemistry, I found myself missing the silly humor and cheesiness of earlier k-dramas.

I am curious but what does being a muslim have anything to do with wasting food? Are you people immune to wasting…
Yup, this is true. It used to bother me, but you just get used to it after awhile. There really is nothing you can do. It's a sad reality.

I felt the opposite! I skipped the scenes with Xiao Xiao. She was a bad actress and I did not care for her character…
Yeah, she was a bad actress. I just liked the dynamic between her and Yang Jian. However, I still feel Bai Qi and Lin Xian's relationship felt more platonic than romantic. But to each their own.

No chemistry between the leads at all. Hei Qi had better chemistry with Lin Xia then Bai Qi. I liked everything about this drama EXCEPT the main leads. I found myself skipping a lot of the main couple scenes and wishing I could see more of Xiao Xiao and Yang Jian. Another story I wish we got more screen time on was Shen Zui and Lu Yu Lan (The chef and restaurant owner)

I couldn't agree more with your description of Rin, unfortunately! Hua Jai Sila is great. Check it out if you…
YES! Hua Jai Sila was one of the best lakorns I've ever watched. The main leads' chemistry was explosive onscreen

I started watching this, but then got bored Rin's personality. I only watched the first 3 episodes but had to drop because it seemed like the romance was insta love (and not the type I like) and the female lead had a bland mary sue personality. Usually, I like to watch at least 25% of the drama before dropping, but I really wasn't feeling it.

I'm interested in the Korean remake of Jane the Virgin. I don't like how American shows go on for multiple seasons, so I would definitely be interested in the much shorter 16 episode format.

Fuyuan (Rong Qi's mother) was a princess from the Kingdom of Chen (the 10yr king's kingdom) and married King of…
I can't thank you enough for this. I got lost in the middle because I kept skipping the boring parts.

It's a good story, but needs a little more patience to follow on.About Aarif Rahman ( Zhong Zhen Wu You ) I think…
This list is really helpful. Fortunately a lot of character's on this list aren't people I care for that much. I'm only emotionally invested in about a handful of them.

Just to share this video of the leadshttps://youtu.be/8pHuQr_cBQw
They look sooo different without the wigs and costumes. I didn't even recognize them at first.
