I feel like the first things people think of when considering Thai lakorns is BL. Although it's not completely incorrect to think that Thai lakorns are more liberal with BL compared to other asian dramas, it's limiting the scope of other wonderful dramas you can enjoy.
As someone who is not that into BL dramas I always turn to Thai lakorns for that extra spice and drama you can't really expect from kdramas or cdramas.
Park Hyung Shik began his mandatory military service last year, he'll prolly be back in the summer of 2021
Lee Min Ho began his service on May 12, 2017 and was discharged on April 25, 2019. I'm not exactly sure why he didn't immediately go back into acting after he was discharged. It was probably a personal choice or maybe he wanted a short break before he went back to acting
If I was a few years I was younger I might have considered this drama boring too. The more I grow older, the better I'm able to appreciate what this drama was about.
It will be a hit or miss for those of us that actually care about a cohesive story and those of us who just want…
True. I'm not one to analyze plots or anything like that, but it does bother me when there are blatant plot holes and weak character roles. Buuuuuut... LMH and WDH are booootiful people
This drama will probably be a hit or miss for most people. On one hand, it did have a lot of aesthetically pleasing scenes with the added bonus of Lee Min Ho, but at the same time there really was no chemistry between the leads and the romance seemed forced. The FL goes from disliking and doubting the ml in one episode to kissing him in another.
Saying that, I don't think it's terrible bad or disappointing either because I kinda expected LMH's comeback drama to be like this: a lot of fan service and hype, but with a weak plotline. I did like it better than JCW's comeback drama even though I like him better as an actor mainly because I like the idea of parallel universe and modern-day Korean monarchy.
One other thing--throughout the drama we see LMH changing between the nice, benevolent king to a ruthless one that isn't afraid to get blood on his hands and back and forth. He never shows his other side (ruthless) to the FL so she only gets to see his pros, while he conceals his flaws from her. I honestly like the ruthless king more, since I've never seen LMH in a role that portrays the antihero so it was interesting to see despite the brief moments.
Was anybody able to access to muse cause i cant. Pls help
