I love this series and I find it fun and enjoyable, but you're right about the direction. While it's far from…
Yeah the series is actually not bad, I just have a very high expectation because the novel is really good. Maybe the reason I got really disappointed is because I read the novel and I have knowledge of how the story supposed to be but they changed a lot of things and even put some unnecessary changes that’s not in the novel and don’t really add up to the story. The cast really save this. They were perfectly casted, especially Phuwin and Neo, they carried the whole series from the beginning and I see how Pond is very popular among foreign viewers. For the director I think it’s better if director Nuchie, Lit, Jane, O, or Backaof do this series and yeah Muilanie is good too.
You know what’s bad about this series? It’s the director and screenwriter. They made a lot of questionable directions. The editing is kinda weird, the cuts are messy. And it seems like they didn’t even try. Everything seems like a one shot take. This is my favorite novel by Jittirain, and when I heard that Director Golf will direct this series, I got scared because all of his previous works are awful!. But I gave him the benefit of the doubt because maybe he will do it right this time. Sadly he screwed this for me. The story is really promising and the cast are doing a very good job but something is really off with how the director put everything together. Such a let down! I hope they make this right in the remaining episodes.
Mork and Meen are probably siblings. I noticed the same gate in Eps 3 and 5 except for the angle in which it was…
No it’s different. Check it again. The gate are both wooden but the walls are different. And the tree in Mork’s house is inside the garden while in Meen’s house the tree is outside, near the wall just beside the gate.
I really liked this episode too. People who are hating Pi because he doesn't believe Mork, remember he has been…
Yeah! You have a point right there. And also Pi is starting to feel okay with the idea of Mork being his friend in episode 3 after the “gross lab wishing to the cadaver” they did. But the shipper ruined it all. He started to act this way again because the shippers are being delusional posting imaginary senario about them.
You don’t like Pi because he is rude but you like Duean? The thing is Duean is as rude as Pi, the difference…
I read the first version of this novel ( there is two versions). The novel is much detailed than the series, so I know what I’m talking about. I don’t want to spoil much and my english is not that good to explain. If you’re really particular with your morals you should also call out Mork’s stalker *ish and cat fishing behavior. Because I think if Mork is not good looking his behavior is kinda creepy.
I can't stop watching this because of Mork and Duean, but I'm having to resist fast-forwarding. The problem with…
You don’t like Pi because he is rude but you like Duean? The thing is Duean is as rude as Pi, the difference is his rudeness is through his words, he is so vulgar with his words but subtitles don’t show it. Anyway Pi is being rude because he want Mork to leave him alone, but Mork knows it. Pi is telling everything to Mork without him knowing it. The chat friend of Pi is his only friend and he tell him everything.
That’s a language and translation problem. The script and delivery of jokes is actually very funny if you can…
Oh thanks that you find it funny. Actually the jokes in this series is very hard to translate in English because there is a lot of slang that only Thai people find it funny and when you translate in English it’s not funny that’s why gmm sometimes change the translation so that international fans will understand. One example that I can give is in episode 1 when Duean said to Pi that he will just met him with Kitty gang. The translation said “Kitty gang, adorkable and cutesy” but if you translate what Duean really said it will be “ Cute gang, potato cucumber” it doesn’t make sense right? But he said it in a rhyme like a poem that sounds so funny.
Why this drama seens more focused in make jokes that are not funny at all than developing plot/characters? It's…
That’s a language and translation problem. The script and delivery of jokes is actually very funny if you can understand Thai language and culture. But if you translate it to english they will not understand the meaning of the joke and will need a lot of explanation. Some of the translations are actually not how the characters say it. Maybe they do it because if they translate it as it is, it will not make sense because the jokes are meant for Thai people. And also some of comedy in this are not about the jokes they saybut how they say it, it’s the delivery of the line. If you watch reaction of Thai people you will see them laughing so much, because it’s really funny especially the actors who play Pi and Duean.
Is this good? I want to watch it because the synopsis reminds me of my favorite korean series “Signal”, but i saw a romance tag in the genre. I’m hesitating because I don’t like romance.
This series is the best bl of 2020. The first time I cried for a bl since The Love of Siam. I just finished watching this today and honestly I find the ending a bit underwhelming. I mean from the very start this series is punching us in the face left, right and center. So I’m expecting something big in the finale, my expectation rise up even more because of episode 4 ending, it has a lot of tension. Then episode 5 came and instead of giving us a powerslam and end us with a tombstone piledriver, it just pat us on the head. At first I thought “that’s it?”, but when I saw the announcement for a part 2, I was like hell yeah! I think this ending is just perfect for us to crave for a sequel. Over all “I told Sunset about you” along with “Addicted” is in the number 1 spot of best bl in my list.
can i ask what have they cut out from the end of the manga?
Hahaha. Yeah! Sometimes google translate give me wrong words to use. Anyway, The family of both of them did not appear in the manga. That is the reason why I think the drama version is better because they include Akira’s family and Yuuki’s mother.
can i ask what have they cut out from the end of the manga?
Hi. Ow. Sorry for that, maybe I use the wrong word. My english vocabulary is limited, I use google translate. But what I mean is in that moment after being separated because of death, they got back together to fulfill their promise with each other.
can i ask what have they cut out from the end of the manga?
The timeline in the series stop when they are 40 years old. In the manga their story contnue beyond that. They live together until old age, Akira died at 69 then Yuuki died at 82. The ending show's Yuuki walking on the line to heaven then at the middle he saw Akira waiting for him then they reconcile once again.
P.s. There is a special chapter in the manga, they include part of it in the series, the part when they are playing in the sew-saw.
Don't get me wrong, I like this adaptation very much... Episode 3 really got me crying. For someone who have read…
They showed a little snippet of their life together after they reconcile, it was shown after the credits. Their timeline in this series stop at 40 years old.
Okay! The series is better than the manga, in my own personal opinion. At least we see Akira’s emotion here in the series, unlike in the manga where he seems not regretful enough. But I’m still disappointed on how easily Yuuki forgive him! In conclusion I love this series. This is my favorite bl of 2020 as of the moment. Is season 2 possible?
The reason why I love this manga is how relatable it is. My first love got married like this because he's afraid…
As someone who can relate to Yuuki’s situation, if someday maybe after 8 years, that person comeback and said that he had divorced and he still love you, would you easily accept him just like what Yuuki did?
Honestly I somewhat think yuki shouldnt go back to aikra...I mean yuki told his mother about them and that time…
Right? Akira is trash! It would be better if Yuuki find someone else who will cherish him and make him happy. And Akira should just be left in despair and regrets due to consequence of his decisions. But the manga said otherwise.
I can't believe Akira just did Yuuki like that. I saw no regret on his part, wtf.
Right! Oh my gosh! I just want to see him suffer after what he did to Yuuki. I hope the series give it to us because the manga failed to do it. At this point I just want Yuuki to be happy. I already know what will happen because I read the manga years a go, but I hope they change something like how easily Yuuki forgive Akira. I hope in this series Yuuki take his time before doing it.
I guess we must suffer every time Wayne pops up in something
Misery loves company. Hao Ting who lost his great love will meet the broken-hearted Yuuki. This part is not in the manga, I wonder what will be his role here.
P.s. There is a special chapter in the manga, they include part of it in the series, the part when they are playing in the sew-saw.
