Same here, it was also one of my first around 5 years ago, so i loved it at the time
I didn't really notice any of the flaws there. But if i had watched it at this time, when I have watched over a hundred cdramas, I definitely would have some criticisms

It was not really unexpected, when I saw BJS die in episode 26, I suspected he faked his death, then I saw HRY die just after, it was obvious they were plotting something

I don't think much time has passed since he ascended. Don't be confused by all those years, they were in the past.
The present timeline didn't give any long gap between the scenes. In fact, it might not even be up to a year since the start of episode 1

To me, it feels like they've just been dragging things out for the last 3 - 4 episodes. And the drama is 32 episodes, when are we actually going to see the main thing

I was kinda wishing she killed him at that point. It really didn't make sense for her to just let him go like that when she was determined to be BJS enemy

Is it a turn on for script writers to always pick xianxia novels where the main characters are nerfed. It's like as if 99% of Xianxia dramas are about our MCs getting weaker. It's literally a trend.
I really love the story and the characters, but I can't help but get angry cos of all these nerfing trends

I feel like there's something more to the child's death. They can't make the FML so unreasonable to this point if it was just the child's death. His death might be tied to BJS

From my Xianxia experience, there's a 90% chance of that happening

Why is everybody talking about their child like they've seen future spoilers. I know it's probably in the book and there have been clues along the way, but the way y'all sound so sure, I'm almost beginning to think I missed an episode

But even though i suspected, i can't say i expected that ending

I can really see why the drama is named FEUD
