There are two secondary couples.
- Jin Yi Wen and Wan Wan. After FL rejects JYW he's able to move on and starts to like Wan Wan who liked him at first sight. The two make a cute couple, but there's barely any screen time for their relationship.
- Zhang Xian and Xiao Hui are the other couple. XH is a girl FL saves and who becomes very loyal to FL, but she's meek and scared of other people. ZX is a dumb pirate who doesn't know social queues and scares her a lot at the start, but then something happens and XH wants to learn to fight to protect FL and so ZX helps her learn to fight. Their story is pretty cute and funny, but also doesn't have much screentime. You see them together in the beginning half of the story with him teaching her to fight a couple times, but towards the end XH doesn't appear again, which was kinda disappointing because I liked them best out of the secondary couples.

Neither couple has much focus in the show, it's really only about ML/FL and their trials and tribulations while investigating ML's adoptive fathers death.

Ep 13: ML/FL become a couple.
Ep 14: ML/FL first & second kisses. - Zhu Lu and Chen Yu start dating.
Ep 15: Chen Yu caught cheating, he and Zhu Lu break-up.
Ep 17: Yi Chun is a dumb betch and blocks ML's number from FL's phone which leads to misunderstandings between ML/FL.
Ep 18: Misunderstandings are cleared.
Ep 19: Xie Yi Xing and Zhu Lu start dating.
Ep 23: ML/FL break-up.
Ep 26: ML/FL back together. Tao Ling and Fang Wei break-up.
Ep 27: ML basically proposes to FL (not very exciting, but it's to help curb her insecurity in their relationship.) - The real proposal of the show goes to Xie Yi Xing proposing to Zhu Lu.
Extra Story Ep: ML/FL get married & have sex.

YAMG Spoilers
Ep 1
- ML invites FL to a game accidentally(??). He doesn't know it's her.

Ep 2
- She asks him to coach her.

Ep 3
- She tricks him into coming to her house, he finds out who she is and also agrees to be her coach.

Ep 9
- ML/FL get into an argument. ML gets called away on emergency space satellite stuffs.

Ep 10
- ML admits to his colleague that he's interested in FL. "I had poor judgement." xD
- ML's colleague collapses.
- ML shows up at FL's place. "Are you still angry?"

Ep 11
- Find out ML has been making 3 hr round-trips everyday to meet FL at her place to coach her.
- ML helps take care of colleague at hospital.
- ML be crushin' on FL.

Ep 12
- FL tries to sneak a pic of ML after he falls asleep while they're watching an E-Sports match, but slips and falls onto his lap.

Ep 13
- FL's ceremony match happens, her team wins first round. For second round her team has to swap out their MVP from first round and she gets to choose ML as the replacement.
- FL's ex-bf is at the match too lookin' sus af.

Ep 15
- ML says he won't be able to get her that penta kill and won't have time for games anymore.
- FL chases after ML and asks him out, but he turns her down again bc they're from 'diff worlds'.
- ML's friends/game friends find out FL is Cotton who they had been playing with.

Ep 16
- ML's colleague has a successful surgery.
- ML's ex-gf a jealous betch and wants him back, but ML is uninterested then he sulks in the rain over FL.
- ML tells his friend/roommate about the ticket FL gave for him and that she hasn't been coming around anymore because he (ML) made her upset.

Ep 17
- ML goes home to his parents house and busts out his old PC, then goes and looks through his old chat history/forum history with FL's alt account and realizes just how much she liked and supported him.

Ep 18
- ML is a sad boy missing FL and re-reads his text history and listens to her voice texts.
- ML gets interrogated by his colleagues about his gf situation. Later gets a pep-talk from his sick colleague and realizes he's bein' a dang fool.
- ML writes FL a letter and mails it.
- FL runs into her ex again (very end of ep)

Ep 19
- FL's ex tells her that his ex-gf leaked FL's poor game footage.
- FL's ex tries to ask her to dinner and also if she wants to start a new relationship with him. She refuses and also tells him off, then walks off like a bad betch.
- FL receives and reads ML's letters. Apparently he wrote many. FL is a sad girl and texts ML saying thanks for his answers, but it doesn't matter anymore. ML is a sad boy.
- ML/FL finally reunite and he drives her to their shared destination. "Your reply scared me." & "So my answers truly don't matter anymore?"

Ep 20
- ML confesses to his feelings and his regrets. SWEET HUGS! He also asks her out, though she doesn't agree at that moment.

Ep 21
- FL finds out that ML got her 2 penta kills.
- ML/FL reunite again at karaoke with their classmates. She forgives him and he kisses her infront of everyone. FIRST KISS!
- ML/FL become official.- Hugs to avoid her being seen.
- ML hugs FL from behind and another kiss.

Ep 22
- Sweet hugs and ML's mom finds out about them.
- Cute forehead kiss and kiss in the boat on the lake.
- FL's parents find out too (LOL it's too funny).

Ep 23
- ML's friend/roommate finds out about them.
- ML/FL return to Shanghai and ML stays the night, so he can see her off in the morning on her flight. (He sleeps on the couch.)
- Cute facemask kiss before FL leaves to start filming. ML/FL begin a LDR for 2 months. (AI JingJing stuff too cute haha)
- "Will you let my genes influence your genes?" (LOL I'm dead.)

Ep 24
- Reunite after about a month on her day off from filming. They are followed by paparazzi.
- Kiss in the car and she visits his house for the first time, he tricks her into staying the night. (Cute pulls her onto his lap scene too.)

Ep 25
- Goodnight kiss on the cheek.
- ML pulls FL onto his lap again.
- Cute morning hugs.
- "It wasn't very helpful.... translating the thesis." (LOL he's so cute)
- Steamy kisses and bed scene. They have sex for the first time together.

Ep 26
- Paparazzi dorks still following them around. (I laughed so hard about what happens to them in this ep.)
- ML's colleagues and superiors/mentors find out about his relationship.
- 2 year time jump.
- Enter FL's work rival.
- ML visits FL at her film set in the desert. Sweet reunion hugs! Sweet sad hugs too. ML has to leave the same day, but they get an extra hr together that leads to some steamy kisses and doin' the dirty in the desert (or so it's implied.)

Ep 27
- Sweet goodbye hugs and kiss on forehead.
- "Never stop learning." (I LOL'd way too hard at this.)
- ML comes home to find FL has returned and is sleepin' in his bed. Sweet forehead kiss, some cute snugs, kisses and bein' naughty.
- ML acts cold to FL after taking a phone call from her manager. Leads to a super cute pounce!
- ML gives FL a thoughtful surprise. FL hugs ML from behind.
- Off-to-work peck on the cheek.

Ep 28
- ML upset that his colleague is leaving the project. FL comforts him; later sweet hugs.
- Cute/funny bickering and kisses.
- ML introduces FL to his colleagues at a dinner. Later at home she sits in his lap and reads the texts about them, then he picks her up and carries her off.
- Sweet morning forehead kiss, more lap sits, a cute couple-time montage and a kiss at end of ep.

Ep 29
- More lap sits!
- FL introduces ML to her actress BFF and actor friends at a dinner.
- ML invites FL to watch him play basketball with his colleagues. Running jump hug, (LOL that guards face though.)
- ML too cute showing off his girl to his colleagues.
- "When will we take our certificate photo together?"
- Meeting of the families.

Ep 30
- Sweet hugs. ML lookin' touched like he’s about to cry.
- ML formally proposes. More huggin'.
- ML/FL get married. Kiss.
- Public is aware of their marriage; sweet messages from fans.

- FL gets sick, ML comes and takes care of her. She stays at his place for a few days. Lots of cute moments.
- First kiss(es) for FL/ML! Super cute. (They're official now? Though they don't outright say it.)

**Ep 9.**
- Enter jealous female doin' dumb betch jealous female things. (Though she's the tamest jealous character I've ever seen and is only annoying/jealous for like 1 episode? lol)
- FL sort of moves in with ML
- Several sweet hugs and a peck on the cheek.

**Ep 10.**
- Overbearing mom doin' dumb betch overbearing mom things. (Srsly, the audacity of some of these asian drama momsters... so frustrating lol)
- FL dad goes to hospital for brain hemorrhage, her mom doesn't tell her.

**Ep 13.**
- SFL/SML become a couple.
- Sweet small kisses FL/ML
- ML suggests they get married
- Misunderstandings lead to a fight, FL knows her dad is hospitalized and goes home.

**Ep 14.**
- FL dad is an actual parent and a real gem, her momster still being the absolute worst.
- ML faints bc his dad almost died, FL goes back and they get into a fight and she runs off.

**Ep 15.**
- FL dad passes away. ML/FL break up, she says she never wants to see him again.

**Ep 16.**
- ML get his sight back.
- 3 years go by.

**Ep 17.**
- SML/SFL get engaged/married.
- ML/FL run into each other for first time after 3 years.

- ML steals a kiss FL while she sleepin'
