They are planning on using the eliminated trainees from Planet C for the spin off show. Also, Mnet never changed…
ohh ok that makes sense, thanks for clearing that up

I haven't watched it yet but what I've picked up is that people are upset that they didn't stick to the original…
Just finished watching it and I actually enjoyed it, I think that the director used the character names, the world and the and the plot structure in terms of the scenarios with a whole different plot instead of using the actual source material, so if you go into the movie expecting nothing its actually very good and one of the best webtoon MOVIE adaptions I've seen. Hence as a stand alone it's very good but I feel that if they made a series they would have been able to use the OG plot and explore the characters stories more as they wouldn't be limited in terms of time. In summary go in with 0 expectations of seeing the live action of the novel and you'll enjoy the movie.

Just finished watching it and I agree. The director used the idea of the source and made a different plot which I genuinely enjoy as a movie. The character names, the world, and the plot structure in terms of the scenarios were used but it is different to the OG novel. As a movie based on the idea of the novel it's actually really good if you go in with no expectations and it actually drags you into the story. Hence as a MOVIE adaption its actually one of the best I've seen, but if it had been a series I think they would have used the OG plot more as they would have had more time to explore the full plot and character stories. In summary don't expect to see the webtoon but enjoy it as a stand alone.

ok thank you, I was so confused as to what was going to happen and the switching up if things. Also so they're ONLY using C trainees not Korean ones at all, I get it due to the language barrier coz I've been learning Chinese for 6 years and it's much harder to learn in comparison to Korean, but I still feel bad for the trainees that didn't make it in the 1st half but deserved to. hopefully they debut in other groups in the future.

currently watching it now and so far so good but, they changed or rather left out why he was bullied, changed the grasshoppers to ants and made him dislike the novel that was the reason he stayed alive. What I've seen from reviews is that ppl are upset about things like that and other things to do with the plot changes that put the movie on a different track than the novel and webtoon. Hence if one is a big fan of the novel/webtoon they might not like the differences between the source material especially if it's plot related, unless they're watching it while thinking of it as a stand alone. Also people mostly complain about movie adaptions as it's rushed or the plot doesn't fit the source to a T, so if it was a series i think it would be better as they don't have to rush things and they have enough time to stick closer to the plot, the budget would need to be bigger of course but in the long run, if done properly, i think fans would enjoy it more. Take weak hero for instance, plot wasn't to a T but episodes gave them more time to tell the story better. Or One Piece or Alice in Borderland. series = longer time for world building+ character development+ not as rushed/time limited =more creative opportunities = more income(if done well)= even greater success. Sorry for the rant thought this was going to be much shorter but it turned into a mini thesis. and thank you for listening to my TED talk

Wow, 6.7 with such a great cast. Is it THAT bad?
I haven't watched it yet but what I've picked up is that people are upset that they didn't stick to the original novel, the casting of actors for specific roles was questionable as they don't match the characters they're supposed to be, the show had a large budget but the CGI was questionable and they used guns instead of swords like in the novel, among other things but these were the main points. So I suspect(coz i haven't watched it yet) that if you watch it as a stand alone without having read the novel or webtoon, one might enjoy it more as you have nothing to compare it to and have no expectations before watching it, especially if you are a fan of the novel and had imagined/ expected it to be wayyyy different from how it turned out. That's just my take on the low rating

Title Boys II Planet Spoiler
How will C planet work, will they use the same trainees or will they start entirely from the beginning. I'm so confused, I literally thought that they changed their minds and were debuting one group but now they've changed their minds again. The amount of stress this show out me through and we're going from the top. Idk atp I'm going to go grey or bald or end up in the hospital for high BP at the ripe age of 19💀

Before I watched this I was a bit skeptical about whether they would honour the original version or botch it, but it actually exceeded my expectations.
Although Japan has very short run times, they still manage to get the main points of the story by giving just enough details to understand the plot, characters, etc.(story) without going to in depth. Thailand, however, has long run times/ episode durations which is just personally better, because it allows one to get attached to the characters, know more about the story, and just get a better feeling for it overall. With the longer episodes it feels like I'm actually there in the story(if that makes sense) watching everything as it take place, almost like I'm getting sucked in(idk how to explain it😭). However both ways versions have their own ups and downs but both the Thai and Japanese versions are good, so far that is.
So far the Japanese version is really good; the acting, the slight differences between the Thai and Japanese ver. that make them unique, the chemistry between the actors, and how they aren't making drastic changes like other remakes is what makes it so pleasant to watch. I literally binge watched all the episodes that are out and can't wait for more.
Overall it's really good so far and I look forward to watching more episodes☺️.

They were acting, they dont date for real or have sex. There is nothing moraly wrong.
When I watched ep 1 I thought August looked a bit familiar but I couldn't remember where I saw him and then when I saw that he was in love sick 2014 so his age made sense considering the cast of LS2014 were all quite young. And I meant moral not legal, I just couldn't find the word in my mental dictionary 🤦🏻. And I agree that it was poorly executed, they could have at least watched the other adaptations or other series that are similar before starting production. If you watch a series you need to be pulled in and stay hooked from the get go or if it doesn't grab your attention then what's going to make you finish the series. You get my point?

I still have yet to read the novel and finish stay with me but I this adaptation didn't draw me in like other shows it just doesn't have the same effect. But like if I didn't see that there was an age gap on tik tok I wouldn't have guessed coz the older guy seemed young but the way my jaw dropped at the generation gap and stayed that way until my mouth got dry, it was shocking like I've seen age gaps don't get me wrong but all of them were at legal ages. Dudes younger than me (not by much) but still 😭

Also if you don't like this adaption, I suggest trying the first Chinese version that came out. In my opinion that version is the best in terms of it isn't as censored as Stay With Me, but is still censored to an extent. The only downside about that version is that it is incomplete as it didn't meet China's censorship regulations as it depicted a homosexual relationship, hence it was pulled from broadcasting networks and I think it was banned but I'm not sure🤔. I really recommend it though. And I don't appreciate automated messages to a genuine reply trying to help.

If it helps to calm you in any way, all minors in the acting industry have to be accompanied by their parents on set or a guardian of sorts that is responsible for the well-being of the minor actor. Therefore the parents/guardians know what's happening at all times and they have to be there for every scene including NSFW scenes if there are any. This is to ensure the minors safety and that they aren't being exploited.

Also, you might not like what I'm about to say, it is a known fact that in many countries around the world the age of consent is 16, in others it is much younger or even something the parents control( that's how you end up with a 12 year old female married to a 78 year old male) it is disgusting but that is literally how society works, as long as it is consensual it's ok. It's messed up but it just is like that so you might not like it but it's not going to change any time soon. It might be better or worse in the future but until then we'll never know.

Oh ok, idk like I'm not even surprised he said that coz it's his opinion and he could have grown up like that, like I'm not defending him but they're human too and we have no idea what goes on in their heads. Also I'm still into kpop but not like crazy like some fans who go bsc when it comes to their faves, like its low-key scary the way they defend their faves even when they've literally been proven guilty, and locked up in jail. And I get what you mean w/ the male kpop idols atp like people you would never suspect be doing the most unexpected things, like the most recent case iykwim. Any who thanks for satisfying my curiosity at like 5am. Enjoy Ur day/evening .🫶
