Technically, HY killed a spy sent by their enemy, Northen Qin. They just need to find proofs that he's a spy.

The left chancellor knew HY's weakness and he used it for his own benefits. He probably never expected that HY could react that way in public.

Not in the novel but they probably change the ending. It's just the speculation based on the leaked pictures. But it could be HY's little brother, just like in the novel but there's no mention of HY's little brother so far in the drama

In the novel, yes, she wants to seek revenge but it doesn't seem like it in the drama. They give that part to LMX.

She protected her son till her last breath. Her scenes were so impactful. Kudos to the actress

I'll start paying more attention to this drama. Since I know nothing about the source material, so I won't have any expectations.

Now I'm rooting for BE for the main leads although I know it's not going to happen.

I guess they made LMX darker in the drama and watered down HY and DZ to pass the censorship if they want to keep the happy ending for the main couple.

They can't just accept the surviving soldier's words as evidence. They need to investigate it further

At least I know where to skip if I decide to watch it again. I was expecting more from this drama (at least judging from the source material). The CGI and editing are bad for supposedly S+ drama (LOL). Well, I still can tolerate it if they didn't butcher GJ's character.

I don't care about this stupid version of the drama but in the novel, he never believed Di clan was guilty and had been investigating about it secretly for 10 years with the help of one of the ministers (his teacher, I forgot the name). I can't believe it when they made HY called DZ, the daughter of the criminal in the drama.

I'm still waiting to see if they manage to butcher his character even more towards the end (everything leads to his cliff jump). That's my last straw. It's one of the highlights in the novel.

They'll be useful in the epic war with Northern Qin later on (pray for good CGI although I'm not expecting much)

They should dedicate 1 episode for 80k soldiers backstory and call it a day but nope DCE's bathe scenes and DCE + MQ soap opera are more important to the story

What do you think will happen if the emperor finds out DCE is the fake DZ? That's why HY has no choice but to carry on as planned in order to conceal Anle's real identity.
