Actually in novel he was also very ruthless, scheming and cunning. But here they have changed his complete personality.
Maybe we get to see this side of him later on. In the novel, he sacrifices a lot for FL to atone for his family sins.

I finally watched all 6 episodes available. I'll watch again on Youku official youtube channel once they finish uploading all eng sub episodes. I won't complain about low quality CGI and editing since I've seen a lot of comments already about these issues (quite frankly, I'm getting tired of it) I'll focus mainly on the characters and story.

I've been waiting 2 years for this drama. I'm not going to let the cons and complaints ruin the fun for me.

If you watched The 'tea scene' between the Emperor and Han Ye, then you'd understand. The Emperor explained it to Han Ye. The Emperor is playing the long game. The Marquis Zhong is a powerful clan.

If youku can release IS and TBW in a year then I hope FSM can be released next year. Hopefully, his next project is a modern drama.
