Yeah. I mean we all know how it goes. Breakup for noble excuses but then still shows they are jealous…I mean that’s how we know they still love the other person and how there’s a chance of them getting back…if not jealous, then would there be any more things to see lol. Also again, LX has always been cold and on the rude side, not tender loving care side so I think we shouldn’t be surprised the way he is currently.

I think she said that because she doesn’t want to give the painter any hope. But that is true, that in the novel, LX “got her back” very easily but but she was never the one to ask or beg to get back together. She never sets out to try to push him away or that he has to win her back. That was never her agenda. In my opinion, I don’t think she’s pathetic, but obviously everyone has a different take.

Agree!! Yes LX was a kind of rude and arrogant at the beginning but he did it to mang people, not just Gao. And once he accepted Gao to be part of it, I think he has always been sincere. Like ZY said, LX might have done wrong (which tbh I don’t see he did anything wrong to Gao specifically) but he has always been sincere. But Gao has always had that insecure and bitterness toward LX.

But in the novel she also states she wants to take back LP and helps LX restart because she believes in his ability. She didn’t think of chasing him for love at the beginning. And throughout the process she never mentions love or anything until when he is hospitalized that she realizes how much she still loves him. I like ZY in the drama but I don’t think novel ZY is pathetic. Although I think novel LX is a bit distasteful in loving her.
