The praise for this one has me stumped. I get most of these characters aren't supposed to be good or bad people…
Seriously!! I don't get it either. I mean, I watched it and finished it but it's mediocre at best (imo). The plot has a weird pace, and a lot of plot points are forgotten or skipped right over. Like, he suddenly got over his wife/ true love so quick after meeting Da-hee? And the plot later makes it seem like his wife was cold-hearted just bc she was upset her husband was never present.. And they mention she was pregnant and that apparently it wasn't his? idek because they never talked about it again, although perhaps i missed something.
And oml you are so right, he wanted to die after Da-hee "died", not even thinking about his daughter for even a millisecond. He abandoned his daughter for her entire life. And why, at the end did Da-hee ask her toddler son to go get "daddy", ik its just a story but that seems like a lot of responsibility for a baby lmao. This is probably just a nitpick
How come jeon gu won doesn't remember madam ju or do do hee 's parents.... Strange
I might be wrong but I remember him saying something about not paying attention to the "insignificant" humans, just focusing on the deal. Maybe there is something else to it though, idk!

I was just thinking the same thing. OCN isn't afraid to get serious, unlike tvN. Literally almost every "dark" tvN drama ends with sunshine and rainbows.
Wow.. This is so good. I'm more of a kdrama over cdrama type, but this changed my perspective on chinese dramas so much!! My only complaint is that there should be more episodes! 10/10 for me.
Is this similar to The Originals? I haven't started the drama yet but the trailer has some similarities to it.…
I'm a big fan of The Originals, and I also like this drama (so far). However, they aren't really similar at all. The only similarity I can think of, is that both Klaus Mikaelson and Lee Yeon are over a thousand years old. (and I guess they are both supernatural beings)
It was alright, I guess. Not as good as I thought it was going to be. It's not that I didn't understand the plot, or it was too "subtle" for me, I just found it to be dull. Maybe not dull, but obvious? Idk I can't put into words why I didn't really enjoy it. :I
I enjoyed it up until the Eraser reveal/ending. I'm kind of tired of every tvN drama having a happy ending.. especially when it doesn't fit the drama! Literally, the drama could be the darkest thriller ever, yet it'll end as if the "power of love and friendship" save the day. I'm only saying this now because at this point if it's tvN, I know how it's going to end. No joke, every time I've started a tvn drama, I think "Oh its tvn.. guess its gonna end happy." It's not that I don't like happy endings, I just want the ending to fit the show. I just get tired of the good guys winning all the time. A good ending to me would be Dong Baek turning out to be the eraser, or DB is forced to kill someone and violate his principles, or DB dies while saving everyone. No one asked for this but oh well :p

My opinion has changed since then actually. Episodes 11 and 12 were a waste of my time. The entire ep 11 was just a bunch of talking in a warehouse and nothing even happened on 12 until the last minute. I think it's just that the "good guy turns bad thing" is not a common occurrence on kdramas, so I get excited when I find one. I don't think I'll drop it though, I feel like there's still a chance.
Everyone in the comments seems to dislike it but idk!! I'm enjoying it so much. I love the whole "good guy tempted by evil/unable to control self" thing. Plus I am a big OCN fan, so I tend to expect a lot from them, but they continue to exceed my expectations! (since it's ocn there is a chance the ending could be dark and i'm hyped)
After all of that I still feel like Ji Dwi didn't deserve to be king. The supposed "character development" was nonexistent. Meanwhile, Sun Woo/Dog-Bird not taking over and choosing the righteous path just proved how worthy he was of the throne.

I agree! It started to feel as if Eunseom wasn't even an important part of the story. Even though I love this drama, I started skipping quite a bit just to find Eunseom's scenes. If you counted the minutes he was on the screen compared to literally any of the other characters it would be drastically lower.
