I haven't read the novel, but the story is following usual patterns for it to turn into a romance. Which I'm not gonna enjoy (personally) unless she does a huge 180 in how she treats him and acts overall.
Right now imo it's all forced interactions between them overall - I should have clarified!

The only major complaint I have is that I cannot get into the Princess and this forced romance with Qi Min. Legitimately there's nothing there for me. I got the whole backstory about why she is the way she is, but that doesn't justify her treating him like an object to be owned and commanded. I wouldn't like it if the roles were reversed either, forced slave to lover just isn't hot to me. I really am looking forward to Qi Luo and Qi Min going back so I can get a breather from it.
I also genuinely want her to address what's going on with her family and learn more about Yannan as a whole, too.
