I think the build up was because the actors themselves felt it was a big deal, it was the first scene like this for both of them and it was a big deal for them personally. But I agree the editing choices were not great.

In my interpretation, when they talk about that falling in love doesn’t happen suddenly but an accumulations of many little things over your daily life , I think the montage was just that Yuan being there for Qian over many years
Please Lili is a child herself....the fact that she is having a child feels so illegal.
She is 23 , not that young , as Qian and any parent would say it is young when you have larger plans for yourself and assuming that responsibility inevitably alters your future
This was a great show and I think it wrapped beautifully given the time they took to build the story , which to me , was what made this story great . This was Qian’s story from the beginning and what a journey he had . These last episodes really showed us Qian’s concerns , all which were valid, his acceptance of his feelings and Yuan as his love and A happy and in love Qian was a joy to see. His commitment to his family on full display with Lili’s pregnancy allowed for both Yuan and Lili to express trust, respect, gratitude and love for Qian and each other. It allowed for him to come to terms with his feelings about his mother. I loved this series and sad to see it end. This was my first time following a Taiwanese series and enjoyed this group so much! It was so much fun and your comments were funny and insightful. You all made this watch even better for me , so thanks to all of you.
