Oh no :((( I used DF because of the download option they had. I travel a lot so it was great to be able to download…
I really hope Viki adds this in the future. If you have access or a good vpn, consider Youtube Premium, VIU and Amazon Prime too as an alternative for downloadable dramas

Holy Moly, now what? I was watching Secrets of Three Kingdoms and Are You Human Too? on their site not but 4 hours…
I guess licensing cost were way way higher then expenses with translation. I think they just couldn't keep up with the new environment with Kocowa holding content from the three big channels and Netflix getting some of the strongest subscription sellers like Mr Sunshine.

Do you know where else has beauty inside or devilish joy?? Preferably a place that actually has licenses for them????
I think they do. I was just testing the Hong Kong page and all dramas I tried have english subs.

Maybe we'll see a resurgence of fansub groupsSAVE US WITHS2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!In all seriousness,…
Honestly, if Kocowa doesn't make a fast deal with TVN, JTBC and OCN it's probably what's going to happen. I can imagine some of the most active groups on Viki thinking of taking up some of the incomplete series DF left and hosting them elsewhere.

As for the new service, I feel the same way. I just hope they keep the same translation style which was relatively mainstream but wasn't like Netflix trying make every confusing foreign concept more palatable to westerners such as changing the position of last names

Still bummer to see Dramafever go, i think it has some of the best K-Drama out there, but i think Viki has proven…
I liked Dramafever way better. It had the option to download episodes, it looked cleaner and more organized, the subtitles were on point and releases were fast. They also paid their translators which to me is just basic decency when you're selling subscriptions. Viki has some appeal too as it's better for language learners, especially korean, and had more community options, but I wouldn't say any was much better than the other, so much as each had its own appeal.

I'm so glad I downloaded the final episodes on the app this morning because I was just starting the final episodes as Dramafever went down. A shame that less people will get to watch this amazing drama now. My new favorite, absolutely amazing.

I was just wondering why she didn't get a main role or at least a supporting one this year. What happen? Korean…
I mean, she's on Beauty Inside. It's not a big role, but she punching her card this year. Last year she was very active, and Mad Dog isn't that long ago so I wouldn't worry.

I mean, it's a great drama and the last eight episodes are certainly amazing, but through most of the middle nothing really happened and that's a shame. Sure, things happened but they were padded with so much filler that really harmed the pace of the stories. To me just felt like it was conceived as 16 episode drama that they tried to force it into 24.

On Switch Girl!! Season 2 Sep 14, 2018
Season 1 was a fun mess of concepts and a really refreshing drama to watch. Season 2 was... just a mess. Weak recycled story-lines, poorly paced, new antagonists that don't match up to the old ones and, of course, it relies too heavily on rape and sexual harassment to move the plot. It's just uncomfortable to watch.

It had a lot of potential to explore how their relationship would develop over time but most of the time is spent on defending their love from people trying to sabotage them.

i get annoyed when she's supposed to be ugly and they pick the prettiest girl they can find... it just makes everyone…
Honestly, this almost ruined Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo for me. They often remark how she's unattractive and plain when her actress is gorgeous, one of the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. Lee Kyung Sung did a good job, but I still consider this a terrible miscast as every time they mentioned her looks it took me out of the story in addition of her having the physique of a catwalk model playing a weightlifter.

I hope her career gets a boost from her popular run at Running Man. She looks like a super fun person.

does the name "korean odyssey" bother anyone else? it's not a version of the odyssey, whoever came up with the…
I'm not bothered at all. It's "an odyssey", not "the Odyssey", I don't think people read the title and think it's related to the greek poem. I personally just call it Hwayugi, though.

Good drama for the most part, a bit too slow in the first half although it gets progressively better towards the end.

But the last 30 minutes are awful... so so awful, like the worst ending I've seen on a korean drama. It's still something I'd recommend to other people, but that ending is garbage.
