On The Beauty Inside Oct 31, 2018
At this point I'm mostly watching for the second couple. I hope they get a lot more air time because I think there's a lot of potential there.

True, but other than Terrius and Running Man there isn't really anything people were following on Dramafever that they'll find there, namely the Chinese Dramas and stuff by OCN, JTBC and TVN.

I mean, they might get a slight increase in subscribers anyway, but unless they strike a deal with other networks most people should move to piracy, On Demand Korea (if they make good on what they just announced) or Viki (mostly for the back catalogue and latin american subtitles).

Title Ode to Joy Season 3 Spoiler
Wait, what? Did you skip Ode to Joy 2?
She had an immense development by the second half of Ode to Joy 2. She became confident and self-assured enough that she could go up to her boyfriend's mother and demand an apology. She was far from the whining boy-crazy, aimless girl that she used to be. She developed personally, romantically and professionally.

I checked out the content for English subs and right now it's mostly older dramas that I watched years ago. Do…
Nope, it's all they released so far. It's more of "heads up, we're stepping up soon". Right now ODK is more for people who already know korean and want korean TV content online. That's why there's stuff like "learn English", "Bible study" and so on. But now there's a big void in the licensed drama market and they want in.

Kocowa just finished giving a three month free trial but they might come up with something too near the holidays

Anyone know if there will be another provider picking up this show and other jTBC and TvN network shows? Dramafever…
On Demand Korea just posted a few ads on Facebook indicating that they'll pick up this and other DF series and will also expand their number of subbed series.

It seems On Demand Korea will try to fill the void by increasing their number of subtitles. I just saw an add on Facebook showing so of the Kdramas Dramafever was releasing and an offer of two months free trial. It's still free with ads for most of the content, though. Keep an eye on ODK

I think Viki is good enough for at least one more year as they have a partnership with Kocowa (Viki Pass Plus),…
That depends on region, I figure. I had Kocowa for a few months and it was $3 cheaper than Viki Pass Plus (monthly rates). And subtitles took a while to show up on Viki because it's fansubbed. But I agree Viki is the better deal right now (if one doesn't mind the substitles) just because it has more new content every month and a much bigger back catalog

If you have the iOS app installed you can still load your watch list. I went to my old iPad and took screenshots

how 'healthy" is Viki? It was a big surprise that DramaFever went down, what if a person subscribes to Viki and…
I think Viki is good enough for at least one more year as they have a partnership with Kocowa (Viki Pass Plus), and there's a huge and organized community of fan translators over there. If Kocowa were to end the partnership right now considering how little content they have and how barebones their player and apps it would just lead much more people to piracy rather than to Kocowa.

Dramafever was by far my favorite place to watch dramas. The translation was a great middle ground between Viki and Netflix, it had an amazing back library, the option to download episodes, a good release schedule... fantastic site. Good apps, clean interface, so many movies and dramas I wanted to see. My annual subscription was going to renew next week. Thanks for the amazing year you gave me, DramaFever.
