Can they actually do justice to the novel is the biggest question. He Yan is someone who can switch between ur best friend to a person who has given PTSD to generations of foreigners because of her achievements as a general. Xiao Jue isn't like ur typical MLS either, while others are obsessed with protecting their loves, he is someone who trusts He Yan and gives her the sword instead. He goes from a person who killed his emotions to someone who can feel warmth again. Will such intricacies be captured by the production?
Nice to know that the FL and ML can actually fight and hold each other to a draw
Ep1 first scene it seemed like FL was getting thrown around so I am sceptical to continue. I hate it when dramas project FL as martial arts prodigy only to get outclassed by the male love interest on first encounter.
That's funny how people see it differently, for the "aesthetic shots" I can remember at least 3 times where i…
Ones with CGI and the 4 season was good... Just look at the intro scene of and how the shops and streets r filmed...it's just chaos.... I can think of many better examples of similar sets
I am only here because female character is supposedly a certified badass.... Tbf other than CGI and maybe the uniqueness of the storyline everything else sucks badly.... Wtf is that makeup filter on the actors, and why r the sets sooo chaotic like there is zero aesthetic value of most non CGI shots in ep1. Omg also that crying scene of the teenage ML was so bad istg it seems they overdosed his eyes on tear inducing tonic wtf
Look... Park Shin Hyeâs acting skills certainly maynot match her hype tbh, but u cannot deny she makes a very convincing action star.... she is very athletic which actually is the most important & decisive factor in making an action heroine ... if the drama keeps up with the trailer it will very likely surpass K2 in terms of action directing & choreo.... it is all up to story & script being immersive enough to engage audience & u will have a hit show. I just hope they write her character well and itâs not like Suzyâs character in vagabond.... this premise seems promising & itâs glad to see korea ushering a new era in Asian drama where women get be cool regularly.
People..... if u r insecure about what others think about ur looks first of all stop paying too much attention to what others say.... on a certain level u need to listen and compromise to others opinions but if itâs interfering with ur integrity u can stop it anytime.... itâs ur life, u have to create & choose for it.... donât just change yourself for what others say....also try to communicate with people more, the more friendship and connections you build the lesser the problem of being not good looking enough will be.... unless looking good is ur profession... being not pretty/handsome visually doesnât matter much in careers.... try building skills and create ur portfolio that makes u unique instead....and in relationships it might matter at the start phase sometimes but how long can looks sustain a relationship ? Instead try to mix & communicate with people .... be friendly.... you will find healthier relationships that way.
If you are being bullied for ur looks.... either confront them or seek proper help.... make ur own decision based on situational judgement & take steps... finding someone reliable to share thoughts & get feedback like any elderly might be a good idea. When u enter a new place.... try building connections with all sorts of people .... who u vibe or donât vibe much with.... it will help.
I am saying all this because judging by reviews none of the actual issues in this drama were properly addressed.... (which if true is kinda disgusting but we know what makes more money in dramaland). In a nutshell... in todayâs world ur skills matter way more that the structure of ur face/body unless itâs visual oriented like idol industry .... even then it doesnât matter much cause much more skills r necessary.... also getting ur crushâs attention may seem a must have accomplishment in life but it wonât be if u donât think of it as such... u get a precious life to enjoy only once dear.... even if u get isekai/rebirth u likely wonât remember it lol... so stop taking in others opinions and diminishing ur own self. Also on an added note: focus on getting a healthy skin and good eating habits from young age .... take good care of ur body.... it not only make u look more âvisualâ but also reduces risks of diseases.
anyone knows where to read the novel in eng trans??? I can't seem to find anything beyond vol1 chap 6.... and other sources r like auto-translated stuff where i can't even comprehend the names properly.
Have seen both and lets just say I set the bar a little high when I say strong
well if you go into storyline, quality of the dramas or the acting, certainly a good no of my choices shouldn't make it, but i am onlyconsidering the character's capabilities here, and more importantly how i am recieving them i.e. if they actually use their personality and skills, and dont suddenly forget their skills when male lead pulls their wrist
that being said seeing ur option reminds me that empress ki needs to be on the list... plz do suggest kdramas more... i might have actually missed some
I am late to the party but surprised to see people not liking it :(
I absolutely love that they are focusing on building the story, I think its better approach then building characters, cause most integral characters have been build in season1 and new ones r getting just enough screentime and layering that we can distinguish their profiles, to me honestly I smell a masterplot thats coming
