GoHyeRi is supposed to be an undercover NIS agent( equivalent of a RAW black ops agent in India). She doesn’t have constraints nor is she serving some war like situations. But what we get is a agent who cannot even load her gun properly in a fire exchange. The best agent stuff she did was mention about the bolt action rifle mechanisms, which literally even kids know nowadays.
Yes agents don’t storm into rooms like John Wick to kill all.... but given an assassination attempt is happening with u as target, in no qualms a real agent will be as dumb as Go Hye Ri.
Okkkk now back to reality, please put that notion that gender / bulk even matters into a bin when this is the era of Krav Maga/ Muay Thai/kick boxing which r often specifically model led to balance weight/height differences.

Well I can explain... true, all NIS agents / any Intelligence services agent of a Country doesn’t always get into fights, a good no of them just have desk jobs.... but that’s not the same scenario for a black ops agents/undercover agent.... these r specifically trained in espionage, tracking, IT skills and hand to hand combat.... regardless of gender.... Our Suzy here is an undercover agent of same category. The disappointment comes right as u mentioned, she is supposed to be a black ops agents placed in foreign land .... first time or not. but in ep 2-3 she is at best portrayed as a rookie policewoman/constable with a good intuition...these things don’t match up... it’s a writers lack of efficiency.
So regardless of what mission GoHyeRi was originally there for, her situational awareness in crisis, is disappointing

Agree, but then with bad physical coordination I guess drama should have done better with a more competent actress in this field, it’s not like k industry lacks in talent, and even if Suzy was decided they could have trained her, in atleast a few moves.... welp dunno

Contrary to popular beliefs it’s not an NiS agents job to be a strategist as well, in fact these decisions r taken by intelligence & strategy dep, while Suzy is a field agent... and not only character development has nothing to do with skills but also sis Suzy here isn’t a main protagonist..... it’s the protagonist who is supposed to grow in a drama, and change characters outlooks on way.... in most of asian dramas it’s a the Male leads who r almost always portrayed perfectly so what’s wrong with a female lead support char being competent....

Even rookie national agents have basic martial arts training, and Suzy hasn’t shown anything yet..... no body expect Suzy to be the next Cynthia/Michelle Yeoh who will beat Armies singlehandedly, but atleast basic training in Kickboxing/Muay Thai/Krav Maga could be there,

Male lead here is realistic in ep1, if u see he is no match for the assassin but his endurance gets him through..... but Suzy’s char has absolutely nothing, nowadays every nation’s special agents r trained in Krav Maga, with which even someone of Suzy’s stature can deal fatal blows to the assassin within 10s. And her char is a black ops agent, they undergo even harsher training... watch Athena or Villainess etc.....
Testosterone is a thing, but real life black ops agent, despite gender r supposed to be highly trained.... a spy without training is literally an informer. I can not speak for others, but I’m not taking pop culture references for criticising the show, I’m talking reality..... and reality is witness to female rookie national agents taking down terrorists in encounter. Testosterone is no excuse for lack of action choreography.
Wow! I admit.... I was a fool..... I was expecting our female lead to be badass Black ops agent..... but.....3 ep in .... and her best action scene is stabbing a janitor with a pin ..... no hand/leg choreography involved in fight scenes.... well played..... I guess asian dramas have a silent rule, if Male lead is protagonist.... female lead can’t be “badass”..... well she will still be an NIS agent/spy/soldier.... but in presence of Male lead, her trained gun hands gonna shake, she is gonna trip....so on....
I might as well drop this drama before it turns into an Nth saga of all action ml and FL only present to convince authorities with her emotions..... God, I might have to punch hole through the wall to relieve my frustration.
LSG is amazing in his role here I really don’t wanna drop this but istg both the writing of Go HyeRis character and Suzy’s acting is sooo offf I.....neither Suzy or her character has an ounce of charisma.....
Only way to describe this drama is endless action... though I love it .... the writers repeated sequences b/w same chars repeatedly... so it was annoying.... but yes, Hana is talented.... nice mix of martial arts
the director said the second part of the drama will be focused on suzy, and she's slowly getting more airtime,…
If that is true than I will look forward to it, I am kind of hoping that Suzy plays an antagonist turned good kinda stuff here, and given the theme action scenes r must....
I hope Suzy also gets her own share of action flicks...... LSG’s action scene was marvellous, the intensity…
2nd episode is in and the bloody directors made Suzy miss 2 awesome chances of hand to hand confrontation, one against LSG other against that bomber in house, and even worse she was tied up in case 1 and got lucky in case 2 .... this already feels like Kill It shit all over again .... smh
I hope Suzy also gets her own share of action flicks...... LSG’s action scene was marvellous, the intensity was there, street fight style was portrayed well, with my guess Suzy will be given a more sophisticated style and move sets for her martial arts profile here..... I will be thoroughly disappointed if they make her seem incompetent..
Also I am loving the plot, and unlike most I would love it if Suzy and LSG r on opposing sides, I want mind games and more action scenes, vagabond cast u better deliver the same

Miao Fei Fei is badass and I am loving it haha, but the actress isn’t really good with emotions tho lel, but I like the portrayal of action scenes for female lead here, kick oriented style, with standard police martial arts moves... it could have been lot better, but it’s quite good considering drama standards lol. Peng Fei, has a lot of potential But they gave him light body skills, lol I laughed at that, he should have used Krav Maga styles for more believable portrayal of a former special forces soldier.

But honestly, I don’t like the way Nana’s character was written, it’s like she can think in her office but not on scene, she can fire a gun in a practice room, but not on scene, I still want to see how they use her dart throwing skills but I’m not hopeful
