If it weren't for the leads, would this REALLY be worth watching considering it sounds like every other saeguk out there ? I'm torn between my appreciation for DO and NJH and the perspective of having to sit through yet another variation of the same drama.
Praise of Death, really ? Can we stop glorifying extra-marital love affairs like they're normal because two people are in "love" and don't care if their family gets hurt ? Wow, he's married with CHILDREN but he loves another woman. SO COOL.
Personally so far I love the remake more than the original, I find they're better in terms of production quality,…
Thank you for your comment. You actually made me wanna watch the KR version! (and the fact that I just started an old jdrama today and dropped it out of disappointment)
Also the main actress.. She doesn't fit the part. Acting like an insecure 13-yo girl with her looks, style and body proportions.. It's really not credible.
Isn't this drama overrated ? I thought so from the moment I clicked "play" on the first episode, but now I'm at ep 4 and it's.. well, when you've seen a few dozen dramas this is nothing to write home about. Does it get better/different ?
To everyone wondering about who's involved with who in the romance: (reply in the spoiler)
Bu Cheon is the bad guy and fakes - then really falls in love - with Mo Hyun. He dumps Seo Won in order to be with her. Pil Joo ("good" guy, main character) has always loved Mo Hyun. Slowly she starts having a crush on him too, really late in the drama. Mal Ran is impressed and admirative of Pil Joo. She probably has somewhat of a crush on him. He doesn't. It's not really developed or explored in the drama except for one scene, but if I remember it correctly she was drunk and he was trying to manipulate her. It wasn't ever mentioned again.
