Then his 2 servants died, then when he is about to be attacked by a whole host of enemies it cuts away to show…
In the book he goes to war, is reported dead/missing, there is an entire thing, they finally reunite and it’s a happy ending. Basically they compacted an entire plot line to 1 episode but yeah based on the book he’s alive and it’s a HE
They changed the story again! what is with Chinese and their aversion to rebirth/reincarnation genre for such…
It’s totally banned. Apparently because girls started committing suicide after a popular reincarnation drama like a decade ago? Not sure if that’s true, but that’s what I’d read.
If they do it well I’m ok with it - A Girl Like Me got rid of the reincarnation with dreams and it didn’t change the plot at all imo.
I hope they won't be skimping on Wang Xingyue's scenes.🥺 The last time this Directer labeled WXY as Male Lead,…
So, this author is EXCELLENT, I adore all her books. The stories are female centric, with the male leads playing a smaller part in the beginning and becoming much more important in the second half of the stories (the second half in the books is much closer to a 50/50 split, especially since dramas aren’t single POV, the drama will show all the scenes the FL just “finds out about” in the book). The MLs she writes are always excellent, though, so worth the wait imo.
This is a very well known author with a strong fan base, so even if he doesn’t have equal screen time with the FL, if the drama is done well it’s going to be a better role for him than having equal time in one of those cookie cutter dramas .
im not sure but i think its because of chinese censorship concept like rebirth is considered to be disrespectful…
Actually, it’s even sillier than that. When the original Chinese version of Scarlet Heart Moon (can’t remember the cdrama name) came out, apparently there was a rash of young women committing suicide attributed to them wanted to be reborn in the past. So… China banned rebirth dramas 😂😂😂. There was a recent drama based on a rebirth novel that got away with it by giving the female lead essentially prophetic dreams, so instead of “remembering the past life,” she would dream of the “possible future.” But yeah 😂🙈
I've heard it was good but since they announce the kdrama I hold on the chinese I want to feel the first time…
Frankly I’d start with the Chinese one - it’s longer, it’ll definitely be a different feel and the Korean one will change a lot. The Chinese one was one of the best cdramas of the last decade though, and the music and story is amazing. The first 8 or so episodes only cover through high school, the kdrama will definitely condense that to like 1-2 episodes. The relationships between the fathers, etc will all probably be stripped down. It is what it is, but while I’m super excited for this I’m NOT expecting it to be as good as the original. When you watch something so well done, the best you hope for is not to have it destroyed
Hahahah, I think they will over dose the Love triangle part...
Yeah if they deviate from the “non-love triangle” of the original they will destroy the story. They NEED to stick to the original dynamic even if they change other things completely or it won’t be the same story at all
Can you give a little spoiler. Whether there will be love triangle.
There wasn’t really a love triangle. The 2nd ML tried to date her, BUT is was made extremely clear that he didn’t actually LIKE her. He wanted to be legally part of the family and just didn’t think beyond that. This was made abundantly clear when, exasperated, she finally asks “fine, do you want to kiss me?” And his answer is essentially “Ew gross why would you SAY that??” And he finally realizes he doesn’t actually want to date her at all. It’s an arc about him coming to terms with the fact that he is 100% family, even if it’s not on paper. It was funny and heartwarming. So I hope they stick to that
Not if they follow the original. In the original there isn’t a love triangle (there is a hilarious short section where the 2nd male lead tries to date the FL but not because he likes her. It’s all very hilarious and resolved quickly and without any getting heartbroken- because he doesn’t actually like her like a man, at all).
2 guys 1 girl, KDrama writers won't be able to resist putting in a love triangle.
Hopefully they stick to the original where there isn’t actually a love triangle, although there is a hilarious part where the 2nd male lead does try to date her, but it’s all very funny and not tragic or heartbreaking at all. He doesn’t get his heart broken AT ALL
I have high hopes for two couples instead of a love triangle
The second male does tried to date her, BUT is was made extremely clear that he didn’t actually LIKE her. He’s a little brash and dense, and gets it into his head if he marries her they will be family - He wanted to be legally part of the family and just didn’t think beyond that. Honestly, I’ll be super disappointed if they change that part because it was funny and heartwarming. I would hate if they make him ACTUALLY like her
There's a big room for improvement compared to the original! It had a nice chemistry (expecially between on the…
