thanks for explaining! this is a really good story that got me thinking. If Xueyang dies in this point of the novel, does that mean he never shows up again? I quite like this psycho, the side of him that is vicious and the part of him that wants candy is so interesting to read.

Ahhh I see! I completely forgot about Meng Yao having any powers. He's a damn good faker and manipulator. I remember in the drama some dude (that was like a background character) having some role as a spy or something, so I thought it was him doing the dirty work.

I went ahead and read on, since I got your assurance Xue Yang dies soon. I just read the part WWX was telling him (while baiting him to talk and fight with LZ at the same time), something like "why did you wait all those years before kiling Chang Ping (after the family massacre)? For whose sake did you really kill him for? If you just want to kill him, why lingchi and why pluck out his eyes too, like Xiao Xing Chen? Who are you really avenging?" so I thought it was for Xiao Xing Chen that Xue Yang killed Chang Ping. But like, I don't know why he would do that for XXC...I'm still confused. XXC dug out his eyes for SL, who was blinded by Xue Yang..so its not Chang Pings fault...?

This is exactly what I'm looking for, thank you! I've been soooo sad after Song Lan and then XXC's death that I stopped reading. So Xue Yang is attached to XXC because of the candy? Did he love him in his twisted way? The lingchi death of Chang ping was for him, right? Why?

Also, from the drama I don't remember who the big bad masked grave robber is 😅😅😅 ...who's XY working for/with? Did he lead the kids to Yi City for another reason than trying to get WWX?

I just started book 2 and already it is the story of Xiao Xingchen/Song Lan/A-Qing. It's sooo sad! I just got to Song Lans death. I recall this part in the drama towards the end, and I can't recall what happened to Xueyang. The first time watching the drama I was more confused about the plot, so i wanted to read the novel before watching the drama again. This part is really hurting my soul, can someone spoil me when/how Xueyang gets his ending?

I've been reading the novel and it's sooo good. I've only seen the drama once, and forgot some of the plot since there were so many characters

ive sucessfully brainwashed myself of this drama over 4 years, and now get to enjoy it all over again! It's still going to be one of my very top dramas

-Bai Ze knows the original plan, which was birth the baby 10th dragon, and raise him in the flood village and when hes of age, Bai Ze would find him, bring him to gather the 4 demon's powers, become real Dragon Deity.

-Weasel would've been WSG's right hand man in the journey collecting the powers and all that, then got a job as the commander at Shilin, so I guess he gained responsibilities and grew up a bit.

-Yuan Wuhuo/Butterfly demon is gone after Ji Ling is dead, but other is still half Yuan Wuhuo, the commander at Shilin Sect and wants to protect his brother, and go find "someone" at Shilin Sect, but he doesn't know who. He wouldve still spent like 50+ years there as a demon hunter and gained those flower petals. They did say Li Jie is always freakishly strong.

-We don't know he's still named Li Jie or not, they don't say at the end.
