last 4 episodes got boring for me I was skipping along

she is annoying but she doesn't really get in the way like that and isn't completely hopeless compared to the FLs stupid legal mother I find that the mother in law is actually better.

lol me too swimming in 7-star territory for so long that it makes 8s feel like 10s, so this one was a nice change.

FL shows too much mercy.

The emperor was the most competent I have seen portrayed in any c-drama. Then again it makes sense since she made it to the top, against all odds, by herself, rather than just inheriting it. Also the biggest sin I see here is the ridiculously low score given to this series.

ok between the green flag, amber flag and red flag, I actually like the green and red flags. I doubt the amber flag even loves her.

this is actually a very common plot point in period cdrama. it's not always strictly step mother but some sort older female figure in the family combined with a frail long dead mother and a pathetic father who deserves to have his d*ck chopped off.

Story of Minglan (good grandma, one step-mum evil concubine the other useless "main" mother, FL clever, same type of stupid father, real mum dead when fl was small. very similar themes but very different vibes, personally one of my fav cdrama.

The Double (not exactly FL but sort of just watch you'll see)

Si jin (same ML, but the problem is aunt + grandma)
