Over all it is an 8 for me. The acting was good. I mean you can feel their angst. BUT I wasn't convinced that…
All i can say is at least her acting didn't spoil it for me like it did in Goblin. She improved a lot. Chemistry between them was pathetic, I think that was a miss cast.
The writing spoiled it for me this time the most.

Lol if not for the stupid ending maybe a 6.5 would have been possible. An ending they end up forgetting each other and each living their own lives in their universe would have been better not this stupid ending. I am amazed why some believe it needs a second season?
I keep asking myself wtf did i just watch???

Review The King: Eternal Monarch Spoiler
I am glad i watched 1st before reading your review. Had i read it i swear i would have removed this drama from my to watch list lol.

All i know is this drama left me so confused much of the drama. It felt like watching W two worlds a second time.
There was a time i was hooked esp the cat and mouse with Lee Lim, the time he discovered he saved himself and then later i am like wtf.
I would give this a 2 but then again maybe a 5 for the few times it had me hooked.
I just don't know what to do with it.
I wonder why some say it needs a 2nd season. This one season is crazy and stupid enough esp the last ep with the jumping time every weekend.
All i know is it doesn't need a 2nd season. An ending they forget each other and live their respective lives in their own universes would have been a lot better than this

I haven't laughed this loud in a while. How can it all be a misunderstanding! LOL i loved this, i simply loved it.

From that list i watched about three quarters of those dramas. I have to admit we are very different individuals with different opinions when it comes to rating BL dramas. For example you rated 2gether 9.5 and my rating is 3.5, the effect 9.5 and 1.5, and the rest the difference is from half a point to about 5 or 6 points. We have similar ratings for until we meet again, the shipper and love by chance.
I will only watch the ones you rated 9 or 10 if i haven't watched them maybe i will enjoy them. Those you rated 8 if i haven't dropped already i will not even bother.
Lol we are so different and yet so similar in our love and appreciation for bl drama

I felt this in my soul...I cant deal with the emperor..He tells Ruyi he loves her and then glances at another…
I don't have any mind blowing recommendations except the obvious ones. Empress Ki and Princess Weiyoung. There is also the story of Yanxi palace though i haven't watched it. It tells a story similar to Ruyi, in fact based on the same emperor and reign but i heard its approach is different from Ruyi.
I too loved the end so much. He deserved to die alone and miserable.

Lol. The drama hasn't even started yet. I am not sure when exactly she becomes empress but i think around forty something.
For me its not about him taking so many wives and sticking his dildo in anything that moves. I am particularly not very affected by the tricks in the harem. What gets me the most is watching her beautiful love getting trampled over and over and over again by that emperor. It hurts to watch her lose hope and give up on her true love. I love her revenge though. To me the end was satisfying and gratifying.

I stopped watching it after Ruyi becomes empress. Until now I've never had the heart to continue. I did watch…
Lol i know the feeling. I skipped more than 20 episodes and watched the last 10 episodes. I am yet to watch the middle episodes.

Seriously an underrated drama. It is of a fantasy romcom genre. Loved the story, production, acting and music.…
I am looking for this drama. Where can i find it?
On Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace Jun 14, 2020
Lol talk of the Chinese and their sad endings. In my opinion this drama is a happy ending for me. That fatuous player deserved dying and getting buried alone away from Ruyi. He would be a pain in her neck in the after life with his womanizing and whor!ng. Serves him right.

Off course the koreans rarely disappoint when it comes to happy endings . I enjoyed the story. I hope they will make more BL dramas. I gave this a 9.5 rating. No way i will give it a 10. I reserved my .5 score because i had to sweep my jaw from the floor after every episode because the moment i get engrossed in the story the episode is over. I haven't forgiven them for the tease and torment they put me through.

all you are missing is the bl nerative to make all gays suffer , like you wrote if they know they like each other…
Wow a light bulb just went on in my head. I thought such programs are to tell us love has no gender and i always wondered why its like that. I was actually wondering is it that really draining and dramatic to be gay? Now i am answered. Thank you for highlighting it to me.

I believe its that master servant relationship. Kang Gook knows what he will get himself into if he accepts those…
Tell me about WTF endings 5555 i have seen my fair share. I have 3 that have traumatized me and still give me nightmares.
1. Scarlet heart Ryeo. (I haven't even gone back to rewatch that drama)
2. Princess agents (chinese costume drama) i think i will cough blood talking about it
3. Addicted. I wish i read a bit and knew of all its troubles before watching it. I believe that would have better prepared me for that.
As for this i crossing my fingers for one.

It really pisses me off when they use such narratives and stereotypes. Be it hetero or homosexual relationships they all have their baggage. I hate how Thai writers (and not only Thai writers) stereotype gay relationships. I have watched quite a handful of bl dramas and allow me to say in almost all if not all dramas i have watched there is some sort of sexual harassment and at times even rape. I don't have any gay friends and i live in a society that says its a sin and where i come from its even illegal so all i know is from dramas and they depict such a dark side. So i wonder why even do dramas if they still paint it in such a bad picture?

What's also a bit worrying is most kdramas dont have s2. Since this is a BL its special so maybe....i just hope it does not end up like addicted lol. I am still not past that 5555.
You are right about Japan. The trip to Japan came up more than once so yes maybe the dad is not legit and maybe Japan has something to do with it.
Honestly i wouldn't mind if this drama wraps up with the dad not knowing. I feel that dad brings too much baggage with him. The chairman is just creepy. All i want is a happy ending. I know kdramas deliver most of the time and i hope they do this time.

Title Where Your Eyes Linger Spoiler
I believe its that master servant relationship. Kang Gook knows what he will get himself into if he accepts those…
Lol i am not that much into spoilers but speculation yes i don't mind.
I am still puzzled why the chairman hides his son's identity and has him live alone in a common house not some sort of villa or mansion. At one time i thought of the director's son might have evil intentions but I quickly dismissed it. From what i have seen i think that kid is somehow fascinated by TJ and has good intentions only. Heck he even made up stories and excuses to keep the girl from going to the field. In my opinion that transfer student is not someone he would stop and make petty conversations with on a normal day but he went out of his way than recording them.
Next we have not really heard KG getting involved with the wrong side so far. I thought maybe if TJ didn't trash their apartment (remember he is a lil prince) then he got kidnapped and that has to do with the chairman but we haven't got to that part of the story yet. And yes obviously KG will go nuts because he didn't do his job properly and also the boy he loves has gone missing just after confessing. As always they say you never miss something till its gone, that disappearance will probe KG to confess. I hope there is going to be a s2. I dont think they can deal with the disappearance and the father's reaction when he learns of this 'abnormal' relationship without rushing the end. They carefully built the story paying great attention to detail and i hope they will not mess it up by squeezing everything in 2 episodes.

Even myself writing it made me understand a lot. I had to dig into my memory and tried to recall the boys's interaction with the chairman. I specifically recall the chairman hitting KG and telling his son the more mistake he makes the more KG will get hit. I got goosebumps.
If i were cupid here is how i would do, i would make Simon fall head over heals with Dr Krit(at least he is not a douchebag...so far), Jennista and Keaton...my match made in hell. Danny boy. I would send him wherever he came from ALONE. Lin my poor Lin, i haven't found that guy yet.. Mednoon off course the farang. My diva 'fatty' the cop is good for you. The rest...not worth it
I wish i had something better to watch atm
