First impression, it reminded me of queen inhyun's man somehow esp the scene he jumps into another world on horseback in the trailer.
I am a fan of time travel so this plot suits me quite well with the parallel universe story. I hope its a good one.

What are you currently watching? I was watching a Chinese one but its complete and i have no idea what to do with my life. I can't do binges only. Now with covid-19 i need more dramas to pass time.

Totally agree with your views. It was a so so drama nothing to rave about in terms of the story. At least i am a bit relieved it was not too draggy. I think the story was poorly written.
Like you i mainly watched the whole thing for D.O. His acting was awesome not for the story. I never got fully immersed in the story and yes there was never an opportunity to trigger my imagination nor an occurence make me want to think deeply and try to figure things out.
And again yes how on earth did Hong Shim miraculously bump into his dead brother? Yes we know she was after the premier who was tracking the crown princess but when when she got to the premier's manor he had already left presumably that previous night or early morning. So how on earth did she know where he went?
Too rushed in my opinion too.

He is on top of his game. He keeps on evoking emotions i never knew existed. His i am sorry wanmei i was drunk but i want you to be my woman look totally killed me in ep 24. I love him to bits. I bet he is now a sensation in C-drama world. He knows his stuff.
