I really like LingOrm but this series just isn’t working for me. I know the girls can act — they showed it…
Not one lie was told. Since the second episode, I got TSOU flashbacks and it's been the same ever since. WAY too much idle chattering and scenes that do not need to be there. You could remove them and wouldn't miss a thing. The whole story looks and feels cheap. It just has a pretty filter. I'll try to keep watching to support but it's disappointing so far.
While there are big changes to the plot compared to the novel and some might feel jarring to those who read it,…
Nah, I don't believe it would've been forgettable if they went with the novel version, especially if LMSY are the ones portraying the characters which I truly believe the author was thinking of them when she wrote it. You'd just need the right person to write the script and knew how to weave in the drama. I'm not disappointed and it's still doing good, it was just the pacing this episode, the drugs, etc. They should've fleshed that out better. I really want to see the rest of the episodes. Even if they moved too fast, I have no issues with them showing how they'll fall for each other in the next episodes.
I really adore LMSY, but having read the novel before starting this show makes me dislike this show so much. We…
That's what I was thinking. They could've kept the novel characterizations but upped the drama. We already have billions of toxic drama characters. I don't want this to be the norm. I'm still loving the series.
Ultimately, it's just a romance series with cheap drama. It's a step above the usual, yes, but it's not going…
Sadly, yeah. I notice that when the novel is fantastic, they like to change it and make the characters toxic as hell, and when the novel is disturbing and filled with toxicity, they clean it up and the series is good. That's some crazy stuff.
I absolutely agree with your points. Mae's most defining characteristic imo was her integrity and Aiwarin admired…
Agreed. It was moving too fast. As of right now, they still feel like strangers. Yes, we can see something is there, but due to the changes of the script, it doesn't feel deep and looks more surface level. They mostly feel like rivals. This is why I wished they let them got to know each other more and then Ai could've asked Maewika later down.
Ai also needs to tell May that she drugged her. Cause....
I get your point, sure, there were probably a thousand better ways Aiwarin could’ve gotten that information…
With the series, I definitely get that they're doing their own thing and they're going the dramatic route. When I watch it, I actually separate the two in my mind to not let what I've read over shadow it, but I'm gonna still have some critique.
Also, the novel was most definitely not mostly about sex. Not even in the least. Come on now. Maybe you're getting it confused with Denied Love. I'm rolling with both versions and I have nothing but trust in my girls LM and SY, regardless.
It's still doing good, but the pacing was weird. Firstly, over Aiwarin's DEAD body would she ever drug Maewika…
I need her to let Maewika know that she drugged her, because absolutely not. That's a crime. They always try to do this to the green flag characters. I wanted my lover girl, Ai!
The show is doing great but couple of things. There is a way to create drama without going to the extreme. I truly believe they have the characterization of Aiwarin and Maewika fucked up in some parts. Please bear with me as I go.
1. Aiwarin drugging May. Why? Why? Listen to me. Aiwarin is a very confident and intelligent person. She knows who she is and she acts the way she does, because she knows how hard she works and she truly knows her stuff. She wouldn't drug someone, least of all Maewika. Absolutely not. Over her rich, hot, dead body.
2. She's filthy rich and has people that can get information for her, so there is no need for her to get into May's phone. May is the one with the least experience, and while Aiwarin doesn't think May is weak (she believes in May so much it's not even funny), she knows where her strength lies. If she doesn't know something, she'll say it. I wish they went with the novel version of how they traded information with each other.
3. After drugging Maewika, she's confessing to her and asking to date? This part happened too soon. They should've made them spend more time together to get to know each other and then maybe do this in Episode 6 at least, to make it flow better.
4. Maewika. Now, this girl is stubborn so they got that right, and while she was legit falling for Aiwarin before she voiced it, she wasn't going to just accept dating Aiwarin that easily, even with the fact that it would've been kept a secret. Absolutely not. She barely knows Aiwarin and for the most part when she's around her, she's being teased and not seeing the real her which would leave her confused and this girl is not a fan of being in the dark . She was always asking questions trying to figure out what Aiwarin wanted from her and why she took a liking to her. As weak as she was when it came to Aiwarin, she was still about her business.
5. Maewika has a way of doing things by the book and while even Aiwarin tells her it won't always work, she sticks with it because that's the person she is and how she does her business. Her and Aiwarin have different styles with how they conduct their business, so she would not try to "hack" into Aiwarin's laptop to get information. She takes too much pride in her work. Superior is respected for how by the book they are.
6. The girls actually really respected each other, so it was always mentioned how they would let business be business and not ruin what they were doing together even before they were sure of each other.
Anyways, that's what I had to say. I can't wait to see what else they are going to do. Also, I hope Aiwarin takes over that company and leaves her dusty, abusive ass father broke. With father's like that, they need to bond and find a way to take over the companies. Aiwarin's mom was probably running for her life.
ngl I def didn’t like the fact that Ai drugged Maple…. this never happened in the novel and tbh Ai character…
It's still doing good, but the pacing was weird. Firstly, over Aiwarin's DEAD body would she ever drug Maewika and when she asked her to move in, I was so confused and not only that, she asked to be with May and May said yes? No.
If they continue, the next series is going to need to call upon everyone in the universe to raise their hands and lend their energy to create a spirit bomb.
Ai also needs to tell May that she drugged her. Cause....
Can't wait to see what happens!
