I just hate when they do this shit to a literal green flag character to bring drama and to use that of all things. The story DID have drama, and I loved how Aiwarin treats Maewika. Idk why they would try to paint Aiwarin like that. I mean, what was so wrong with going with the novel? The drama was still there. I loved how their relationship unfolded and I love them both.
