That is very true. The trip really leveled up their relationship. They deviated so much from the book it's not even funny. I'm watching to support the girls but they were robbed and so was the book. The series version of Lada is tame. In the novel, she is more stern. Anyway, I guess awful parents should get a redemption arc with no consequences for their actions.
