The mother really gave herself a stroke because Lada loves a woman. She's going crazy because Lada isn't being the robot she created her to be. All I keep hearing is "I,I,I". She thinks giving birth means she should have full control literally treating Lada as an object. The lady orchestrated her daughter's break up which destroyed Lada and swooped in to console her. That is some psychopathic shit.

The father is just as awful and I need him to get what he deserves too. He really thought he did something when he told her he knew everything. Lada should cut them off. Tired of parents/grandparents fucking up kids life and talking about they did it out of love. Please.

I'm sorry but having the mother tell her sob story and suddenly being sick isn't going to gain any sympathy points from me. I truly could care less. All of her heinous acts disappeared just like that because she's sick. Is this the lesson that's being taught?

The way I skipped Thaen and Wisanu scenes because I'm not sure why these unnecessary scenes keep interfering with what should be the development of Earn and Lada's relationship...

That is very true. The trip really leveled up their relationship. They deviated so much from the book it's not even funny. I'm watching to support the girls but they were robbed and so was the book. It needed more than 8 episodes to fully flesh out, especially with most of the fillers that really did not need to be there. I'm getting Naruto ptsd flashbacks.

The series version of Lada is tame. In the novel, she is more stern. Anyway, I guess awful parents should get a redemption arc with no consequences for their actions.
