Not going to lie, I find it ironic how Kavin gave this whole speech about moving on and forgetting the past when his character arc is supposed to be tormented by his past love and his parents’ failed marriage. I think this shows us that most of what he says or does is for show. We still have to see how his character plays out, but I feel like they’ve already shown us fragments of his past in the second trailer, and they haven’t changed much of his original story.

There’s still so much they have to cover in those remaining 6 episodes, and I don’t know how they’re going to make it work. I feel like the rest of the episodes are just going to get sadder and sadder. I hope we’ll get to see them a bit happier. I didn’t expect this to go so dark, but I also can’t complain since they’re doing it so well.

Thanks for starting the discussion! I had already drafted a post about this, because I love what they are doing…
I totally agree with you. I can't tell for sure if he knows that he likes her. Observant and perceptive as he is, I feel like he would be unaware of his own feelings or maybe in denial. What I am most afraid of is their scene in the car. I hope he doesn't break her heart, but it's kind of inevitable considering his character, and the fact that we saw her crying. Someone like him has major trust issues, and wouldn't accept love easily that's why I'm uncertain if they're going to be endgame or not. Kavin is someone with a lot of baggage that can't be fixed overnight, and seeing the route that the director has taken with always going for the most realistic outcomes, I feel a bit uneasy about their ending. Kavin and Kaning still have a long way to go in terms of character development, and a relationship might not be the smartest choice. Still, I hope that they would end up together even if it might not be the most rational option.

Kanning being in the funeral was justified because she works in the flowerShop. As well she knows kavin who gave…
That’s a solid point of view!

I understand why Kavin made their flower shop responsible for the flower arrangements at the funeral. It was like a wake up for Gorya, but what I don’t understand is why did they include Kanning in the scene. Maybe because she also works at the shop, but I feel like Kavin would have an ulterior motive by making her also come along. When they were arranging the flowers, he wasn’t just warning Gorya but Kanning as well. I might be overthinking it, but I honestly can’t tell what he has in mind most of the time.

Please, can we talk about Kaning and Kavin? Like, what are your predictions for their storyline and his backstory?…
I was most curious about this couple before this aired as every version up till now had a different ending for them. It's no surprise that Gorya and Thyme are going to end up together, but I couldn't tell for sure what they had in mind for Kavin and Kanning. As much as I wanted them to end up together at first, and I still secretly wish for it, but I don't think that they'll end up together as it doesn't feel reasonable. Kanning feels way too naive and young in comparison to Kavin. At the beginning of the show, I had hoped that they would make her character a lot stronger than the other versions. Although she definitely has more backbone than the older versions, she's not as mature as I hoped she would be. Not to mention, Kavin's got a load of baggage to unpack, and she might help him like all the other versions, but still that won't be strong enough of a reason to make them together at the end considering how unsuited they are for each now. I think they would have an open ending, and leave it to our interpretation.

her character is supposed to be sweet, weak and innocent, and also i'm excited for it, but thyme and gorya (the…
I completely agree with you, but I couldn’t help wanting Yi Jeong in bof to get called out for how he treated Ga eul.

Am I the only one who’s more excited for kavin and kaning’s story than thyme and gorya? I really hope they flesh out their characters more in this version and give kaning’s character more backbone than Ga Eul in bof.

Can someone explain to me why he didn’t take the marble out from the very beginning? I know she’ll lose her memories if he takes it out now so he’s hesitant but why didn’t he do when they first met?
