Liked the story and the lead charcaters. First time seeing Zi Xuan act and I think she's good and of course Kai is great. But how vicious was that emperor. He was no better than Jiao's uncle. And that fake princess was also very irritating.
I don't understand the departure ending. Why should the characters leave each other after going through all those hardships and overcoming them together? I liked the whole show but the 3 year apart was meaningless for me.
Lots of eye candy, interesting story, acceptable logic, almost good outcome, although I was hoping for a different ending for some of the characters. Overall I enjoyed the show and will probably rewatch some of the really good episodes again. And.... after watching A Dream within a Dream, I smile a lot when I see similarities between such shows. 😁
