The leader who was in charge is quite alive and well, says how this occurred is fake and that nothing happened 전두환. This is reason why it is serious and all koreans are mad and now too. This is similar to what happened in china, ㅅienanmen and today myanmar. This protesting held not just 광주 but any big cities! My dad was supposed to be at the place of where this happened on May 21th, May 23rd but he did not for family reasons. Meanwhile his colleagues and best friends went, not found. Out of 12, only 3 came back alive but heavily intoxicated and broken arms, ribs etc. 1 of them lost eye sights of tear gas thing, never recovered his eyesight and later on died. The other 2, died because of too much pains and traumas. My dad told me, and 9 people who went, nowhere to be found. Bodies uncovered, maybe burried somewhere. My dad cries for them every year on those days... sorry for my bad english
