This is a journey of her redemption. ........... 2) Her role subverts many stereotypical roles for women in dramaland. Yes, it is extreme and that is part of the problem. If her role was normal, it would be bland and basic. So drama writers either go for brainless whiny FL, naive childlike innocence, strong (intelligent but cold). Of course, none of these fit the average woman but I am glad to not see another FL with the first two tropes I mentioned. ........... 3) She is good eye candy. I can not deny that if it had been another actress with below-average beauty standards, it would have been difficult to draw me in. As AvenueX said "We love to see beautiful people get hurt" and we also love to see them getting on, off and back on their thrones.
On the other hand, I understand your point. Movies and TV shows are NOT credible sources on anything other than the subject of movies and TV shows. Nevertheless, for some people, they are the only sources of information on certain topics therefore to some extent, they should try to NOT misinform people. I personally think it should be the viewer's responsibility to use them as an entry point into yearning for information. After watching The Good Place I took a free EdX class on moral justice to try and understand why everyone hates moral philosophy. I researched autism after watching Atypical and The Good Doctor. For me, a good show is one that makes me question my stereotypes and views rather than telling me what I already know.
Cheng Xiaois blessed with good looks and good resources and I am glad to see her improvement in acting. She impressed me in Legend of Awakening with her aura, flexibility. In some parts her acting was weak but then I found out that it was her first-ever acting role!!!!!
Then, I became a fan. I love to support actresses who can see growing in their craft. Right now I am watching Falling into your Smile and I can see the improvement. I pray she continues working hard and reaches greater heights.

I narrated the entire story to my dorm mates in boarding school (the entire drama). There were tears, laughter and my avid listeners would do anything I wanted just so they could hear the next parts. ?? I converted many of them into drama lovers all thanks to 49 Days. And that was from my narration. When they watched it, it was even more powerful. I need to rewatch this. Kudos to the entire production team??
