Why is North washing clothes in the bathtub?There are no washing machines in Thailand?
omgosh, I thought that was strange too! plus Johan is uber rich! why would North even be DOING the laundry? but then he did all the other chores too. so, a way to show his love. but STILL in the tub??? lol
I enjoyed this friendship that the two mains built over cooking , food, and finding yourself. Overall I liked the story, and was glad it ended well.
(I saw no bromancing, but a good friendship for sure.)
It's really cool that the person, Kim Yu , really existed AND he wrote a cookbook, and that someone thought to write an interesting possibility and make a movie out of it. :) well done all.
my goodness one of the MOST beautiful love stories I've cried over in a long time. so well acted, directed, filmed. the scenery was stunning, the wardrobe gorgeous and the story line was incredibly heart breaking.
Seol really won my heart as a strong, female character and bestie of the year. What a lovely character, and the actress is so pretty.
side note: it's part of 2023 KBS Drama Special on Viki. each episode is it's own movie. this one was ep 9.
my break down of the show: well acted, love SK in the fall! Such gorgeous scenery.
*ep 1-2-not sure why he even asked Ji Hun out, he turns down everything he wants to do, ignores him, his calls, texts and in person. and runs away each time they are together. JH said YES to dating him, even for a week. but Ba isn't even giving the relationship a chance, since he's so scared that they will break their 'since kindergarten friendship'.
*ep 3-Seems to me they should have spoken their truths and gotten together when they went on their date. it was so sweet. lots of cute photos too. and STILL this idiot hides his true feelings. smh I think the hold up is in the word friendship. Ba has ALL THESE FEELINGS! and he thinks JH only wants to be friends for ever. But Ba wants so much more, and can't seem to let those feelings out. too bad really. they clearly have fun together, when Ba let's his guard down a bit. I hope Ha Min doesn't end up falling for Ba too. oh man. The struggle that we see with Ba, fighting his impulse to kiss the sleeping JH. and then giving in to the impulse, only for JH to open his eyes when their lips were a breath apart from eo. and to be startled at that. sigh. I wanted him to grab Ba and kiss him. ep ended right then!
* ep 4-well they picked back up on that scene. but still no kiss, Ba says 'I'm leaving' and then JH walks him home? they don't even talk about that almost kiss? ah jeez. that stinks. JH thought that Ha Min has a crush on Ba, and so he asked for the date, treated him special all day, and took tons of fun photos so that Ba could 'get rid of' his stalker (Ha Min) by showing him that he was dating someone (JH). It seemed like Ba was finally letting his feelings out a bit, only for them to be completely misunderstood by JH. smh. dang friend group. they just messed that ALL UP! Ba was FINALLY going to ask JH out for real and tell him he liked him. those idiots told him they were all going on a group date with dancers. eyeroll. JH TOLD them no, and TOLD them that Ba was not into that. grrrr
*ep 5- their high school life was so sweet. but even back then, Ba was hiding his feelings. So, did Ba NOT get into the applied music program, but JH did. is that why he quit music? and gave his guitar to JH. I do hope that Ha Min plays cupid and helps them out, instead of acting on HIS feelings for Ba. although at this point, it seems unlikely. lol Since Ba isn't hiding from Ha Min, it's easy to answer his calls and texts, go eat with him, and even smile and laugh. smh. oiy! these two are really going to bust up their friendship if JH doesn't actually TELL Ba that he likes him, heck LOVES him.
*ep 6- the way Ba has come to rely on Ha Min is not good. Ha Min is writing the end of the webtoon to reflect the main character breaking away from his long time unrequited love, and meets someone else who understands him better and they live so happily that he forgets about his long time unrequited love. oiy
*ep 7- Ba should have given JH the diary a long time ago. lol. At least NOW JH knows all there is to know. Poor guy running all over campus looking for Ba. I think the moment HM found out that JH had the diary, he knew he had lost any chance to be with Ba. The fact that JH TELLS Ba he likes him, and STILL Ba doesn't believe him shows you what an emotional wreck Ba really is. He's imagined this scenario so many times over the years only to be covered in sadness each time it fails to happen, that when it FINALLY does, he can't accept it as truth and thinks JH is only pitying him. even though JH KISSED HIM BACK! oiy!!
*ep 8- Ba says T HEY decided to end it, but really it was only Ba that ended it. JH told him repeatedly he didn't want to end anything. Made me sad when JH confessed that he LOVED Ba, but only to the air, and NOT to Ba. sigh I'm glad that Ha Min was a good guy in the end. I guess Ba finally believed the words once they were written down. JH shooting hoops and doing a 'he's coming right?' with each toss only to miss each time, was sweet and funny. Dang, that hug on the bb court was sooooo sweet. the way they clung to eo, could have ended the series right there for me and that would have been fine. :) ah, but back to the bridge. I get it. and many kisses later, the scene fades. the girl in the coffee shop was funny.
I would like to have had some more lovey moments with Ba and JH, but I also liked that they showed us HM scolding himself for doing the right thing. lol. Very human of him.
Unrequited love can be fun in the beginning, and so very painful by the end. I'm glad our boys finally got on the same page and started their next level of relationship. :)
overall, I liked it a lot. very hard to get your feelings out with someone you are such close friends with. and since JH felt the same way for such a LONG time, and kept HIS feelings hidden even deeper, it took them FOREVER to finally understand eo. :)))
side note: anyone else get nervous each time they were standing on the many cross walks throughout the show? lol
I watched this in 2 parts. Ep 1-16, and then after they all dropped, 17-24. one of the GREENEST series ever! lots of love, romance, silliness, lovey dovey, and communication I've ever seen and for SO MANY couples! there's no trauma drama, the drama drama is always reconciled quickly, and all the cps come to understand eo. I loved that everyone who had any kind of early life trauma found their 'one' to help them work through it all.
the boys are all cute, and there are SO MANY KISSES my heart was very happy watching this adorable show. the filming, directing, lighting, wardrobe was well done, and the outside scenery was gorgeous.
Po was absolutely hysterical! all the actors played their roles very well, but for me Perth really stood out. TBH, I've never liked him, but I do now. His expressions were so sincere, and the way he handled his character from beginning to end was really great! His and Santa's chemistry was terrific. Their characters were fun to watch grow. I enjoyed all the characters, side characters, friend groups, and the storyline.
Faifa and Wine in particular were so lovely. It was nice to see them taking their time to get to know eo, but without any 'too shy running away' nonsense. lol
I grinned all the way through the bts at the end too.
Nothing annoyed or aggravated me. I laughed and giggled A LOT! lol I'd watch this again, anytime I'm looking for something sweet and fun, and have the time to devote to it. lol
for inter fans, I wish they'd just leave Hia and P alone. subbing them as brother, makes the subs feel awkward and strange for us. lol just don't sub them. most of us get the references anyways. lol
I have to ask: Did Onoda like Shima or was it a mistranslation?
I think he did like him, but also knew where Shima's heart was, so he chose the supportive friend route instead. If Shima had ANY doubts about his own feelings for Togawa, they were certainly made clear to him(self) when Onoda said he liked him (so it would be easy to look after him) in the stairwell.
so well acted! a very straight, almost simple plot line, but with such depth and feeling at the same time. They made the most of the 84 mins.
When Shima finally admits his feelings and breaks down in his room, oh my heart was so sad for him. I think if Onoda hadn't been so supportive, and stepped in, I'm not sure Shima would have had the courage to go to Kyoto. I loved when Togowa heard the same sirens on the phone as in his neighborhood, and KNEW he was out there. I'm so glad it was a happy ending. :) What a lovely way to spend my evening.
I LOVE this character for Bass! He's so good at being cute and adorable!
