this was a fun watch. not too serious, no terrible drama. lots of fun moments, and some good lovey dovey, if mostly in the last ep. :) LOVED all the smiles and giddiness of Jae once he makes his feelings known, AND finds out that JW is his fan. too cute. overall good binge watch on a rainy day with a nice cup of tea. :))

at first I laughed too. especially at just how horrible it was done. (assuming that was on purpose right? poor folk and all that) BUT THEN....when Jack looked at that mess, and only saw the LIVE Joke. His love, his heart, his life looking back at him, I about lost it. He was just so sure he WOULD come back to him. sigh
another commenter said there is an old tradition in Chinese weddings, to marry a dead person so they won't be alone in the afterlife. (so heart wrenching.) I looked it up. It's called a ghost marriage, or minghun. (there are other reasons to do it too.) I'm glad they let him grieve in his own way. I would have been ok to end it there as well. BUT I'm also ok if they give us another episode, but lively and sweet would be nice. lol
I haven't cried like this over a BL in a long time. Acting was terrific! The emotions reached right through the screen and shredded my heart.
Glad there was an after credit scene, and as someone else posted, hopefully it won't take TOO long to get the next installment. BUT for that installment, can I PLEASE PLEASE beg the writers to give us something FUN and LIGHT??? no more fighting, no more trying to save the people in the neighborhood. Just a lovey dovey reunion. We need the fluffy. (not that that is really their style, but COME ON)

binged this one over 2 days. overall, I liked this series. the acting was terrific. i liked the characters.
The friend group could have been fleshed out a bit more, they knew eo for so long, but didn't really share their emotions or deepness with eo. Min never confided in either of them about what all he was going through, or why he was sad. They were basically a study group. lol
the kisses at the beginning are what you expect of 9/10th graders just figuring out love, emotions, and coming to terms with being gay. BUT, later I think they were for the most part just ok. I wish that they had grown more in that area. they were kinda what you often get when two het men take on BL roles. (not saying they are or aren't. just comparing, could also be the director's choice) some of the kisses were better than others. lol they did a great job on skinship, and had plenty of lovey dovey moments. But I always felt like Min held back. But he cried really well, and expressed his fears well.
though this story was a bit dark at times (needs an abuse trigger warning, cuz MY GOSH!), they grew as humans, overcame their situations, and their relationship grew.
I loved the plug for marriage rights in Japan. Adding this theme to their series helped Thailand get their laws changed, maybe we will see this trend in JBL in a widened effort to make changes in their country as well. I know they've been trying for a long time.
Just started watching this one. IRL, an 11 year age gap between the mains! I never would have thought Sang Min is 33 yrs old! where the mains are kinda tame, the other 2 (especially that one CP) are WILD in their spice activities! and so randomly placed. like when the one said he was a shmex addict, I BELIEVE him! and I'm only on ep 4. lol

*Initial Dream sequence left me breathless. :)) * 'Wabi Sabi University' made me giggle. *Easy start. *Loved the Kitten Club tshirt hanging in Ter's room. hahahah. (Every time I catch Earth live, he's usually got kittens prancing around his frame. lol) * I love when Hill asked to hold Ter's hand, you could see what Ter really wanted to do was stick his hands in his pockets. lol *The entire misunderstanding with Ter and his family, him thinking his sister was going to/was already dating Hill, BLOCKING Hill and Ter disappearing for a year, Needless drama. eyeroll. *Hill calling 'dibs' on Ter was cute. *At this point, Ter is a bit too whiny and wishy washy for my taste. *I was also a little sad that Sammy is back in this silly type character. She plays them well, but I much prefer her in a little more serious/grownup character like the one she played in Unforgotten Night. *side note: I love that "Mung" is subbed as "Dude". It works well in this context. haahahahah *Ter and Hill were UBER cute in high school! Ter is so much less whiny and much more cute. And Hill is besotted with him, already! (ep4) *Can anyone have more heart eyes than Hill??? * CUTENESS!! the way Hill was jelly when his boys went and introduced themselves to Ter. "Go away you guys." giggle *Hill is VERY good at communication, although Ter is so disbelieving/ridiculously so, it took a while for him to get there. I think he cried and whined in almost all the episodes up to ep 5 at least. smh *A REAL kiss. and a very nice one too. (I love the no touch kiss. lol) *I do love when we got a sweet and accepting grandma! *I really love the way Hill told his gpa that he loves Ter. The way he said the words, so calmly and his face was so sincere. It was quite beautiful. When gma said she wondered why she married that guy was too funny.
*Waiting for Ter to finally cross over and ACT like a boyfriend was annoying. 1 step forward, 2 steps back. (MOST of the episodes) * We get a another good kiss, like really good. They certainly do them well, which is WHY it's so much more annoying when Ter skips away, or acts all shy out of the blue. *Sometimes Hill looks like he wants to devour Ter.
* The second CP stole the show imho. *The way Johan STARED at North! oh my!! I LOVED how Jo did everything to win North. *The cafe scene was cute. BUT If I ever win the lottery, I'm buying Thailand napkins. hahahahahah (at least Hill didn't eat the cream.) Face wipes, and nose wipes. LOL *When Ter asked North why he wasn't showering and N replied: 'I like to be nasty' hahahaha. (I felt like that was adlibbed. giggle) * North fighting in the bar was some what unexpected. I mean, we saw it coming a mile away, but it seems out of character for our gamer/ nerd boy. lol that fight was NUTS. *all the friends being all beat up and bloody had me on the floor with laughter. so chaotic! *Johan taking care of everything, even the hospital bills. smh. :) *OHHHH I LIKE IT! Rich boy had a driver bring his car over, and then had the driver take his bike home. Gotta take care of his lil man! :)) *OK! some people don't like the rich trope, but I LOVE the rich boys! lol * gotta admit, I was sure North would walk in on Johan in the bath, but no. Him stumbling down the stairs searching for the bathroom was MUCH funnier. He's SO DRUNNNK! all the stuff he keeps breaking. **palm to forehead!** *I was SHOCKED when Jo actually turned OFF a bedroom light! :)) *OMGOSH! The way Bas played that scene had me cracking up! his shock at his destroyed phone, where he is, how HE thinks the phone got broken. smh hilarious. (ep6) *North is so innocent. hahahah *N to J: "Do not bully my duck." he's just so freaking CUTE! * Ter and Hill finally confess to eo, and straight to the 'I Love You.' skip like and collect 200$. :) ( took them long enough.) ep 7
* The friendship between Ter and North is just so cute! They support and encourage eo the entire show. The way they teased and giggled together was just darling. Their skinship was so innocent and fun!
* HOW do you mess up a POD coffee? He put so much sugar in the cup, it's not even dissolving. hahaha *Mr Coffee Shop Owner (Thun) sure was hot for North. grin * The text Johan sent to Thun from North's phone made me almost spit my drink out! Straightforward and to the point. hahahahah
*Day is a cutie. Where do we know him from? EVERYONE wants to hit on cutie pie North! hahahahah Too bad he turned out to be a POS.
*OH MY! "I'm outside of your dorm. Get down here." I love a bossy man!! (in a show, not irl) grins and giggles. *J to N: 'I'm here to pick you up, and pack for a sleep over' so demanding! swoon hahahahah I can't wait to see what Ter packed for North. Raincoats? (I was sadly disappointed. lol)

THEN gpa threatened to make TER'S life hell if Hill didn't stop seeing him, and Ter's dad intervened too, and told Hill Ter wanted nothing to do with him. freaking families. THEN Hill's gma got hit by a car, and she was STILL in a coma! that's A LOT!
*North gets attacked by Day and almost SA, poor baby gets punched in the gut too. Suddenly Jo's security detail show up with GUNNNS and Jo saves him. WHAT a HERO! Of COURSE Jo buys the bar (AND the cafe) hahahahah
*Jo admitted his feelings to North, but when he went in to kiss him the face North made was not a good one. so he stopped. but then ASKED if he could kiss him. and oh my what a kiss. hand on the hip, moved up to the waist. and how after they were sitting all wrapped up together! *confess, kiss, hug, kiss, "let's be bfs." my heart was so happy that entire scene!
* I HATE when a cp is about to kiss (and they've done it before) and one of them breaks the connection right BEFORE the kiss. so irritating and unnecessary. (Yes, I'm talking to YOU, Ter!) *Hill has said he missed Ter so many times, and Ter never said anything back. COME ON.
*Nice that they woke up gma before the end of the series. *BUT, there was NO reason that Hill couldn't have called or at least texted. NONE what so ever, radio silence for TWO days after being called away like that was just unneeded drama. HUGE EYEROLL. *Even when he finally said "I love you", Ter was still petulant, and whiny. ugh at least they FINALLY agreed to be bfs. (I thought they were already. smh)
* Jo saying that North is not Thun's's while grabbing his hand and pulling him upstairs, and THEN pulling him directly onto his lap was darling. But North sitting there all flustered, BUT NOT pulling away was even more fun. lol and the WAY Jo grabbed N's face and turned to him for that KISS! my heart flutter a bit! *I really enjoyed how North just lets Jo do what he wanted, and went along for the ride. He clearly was into Jo too, even if he wasn't sure of himself. (self-confidence) * side note: I really LOVE the way Jo/Maxxy kisses. he's so intense, and SO sexy. *by ep 13, we get so much gosh lovey dovey moments with Jo and North together. North is so easy going, and accommodating to Jo. he really cares how Jo is doing, and really tried to stay in touch with Jo's feelings too. I love that. they are so cute. *Their kisses are really so good. BUT I wish the camera man would shoot from better angles. lol We see all the goodness, and then we get lots of body block, sigh. *North sitting on top of Jo and telling him he 'doesn't' know how' and then asking to please be kissed made me grin big! They need more kissy face screen time. Their chemistry is fantastic! *I love how North's friend was encouraging him to give Jo his gear, and ask him to be bfs. I love that he gave him the gear and said he liked him. I wish he'd had the courage to also say "Be my bf!"
*Not BOTH Hill and Jo getting jelly when they hear from Ter that North sleepwalks, and crawls into bed with him, looking to snuggle. their faces! esp Hill's. HAHAHAHAHAHA (ep14)
*awwww that goodbye scene at Jo's condo was precious. North wasn't the least bit shy, he even kissed Jo and hugged him so tightly! (TWICE) and told him he'd miss him a lot. grin *Loved the video game scene too. Jo asking for a video clip of North (and offering to pay him 100 TBH per second was too funny) * North missed Jo so much, it was cute when Jo shows up suddenly, North hugs him SO tightly, he cries, and Jo wipes his tears. N tells him just how much he missed him. BUT. NO KISS???? Even after weeks of being apart? shrug *When Jo asked North to be his bf, WHAT a scene! I swear it was practically a proposal! and yet another tight hug. but NO KISS????? what's the deal director? I mean. put a kiss where it BELONGS! * omg the horror movie date was so funny. North's yelps and shouts and then dumps the popcorn and covered his eyes was a hoot! *ep 16 was the cutest! all about North and Jo and their backstory!
*The Finale: this ended nicely for the two main cps. North and Jo still my favs with MANY kisses and sweet moments. Not sure what was up with the other two. smh. Like they were the MAINS but it felt like they barely had any skinship/close moments.
*My favorite scene was when North was so drunk in the bar, and CLIMBED on top of Jo to hug all over him, when that girl came up to Jo trying to flirt. I about lost it!
*Overall, I enjoyed this series. Would rewatch for sure! The actors ALL did a great job, and it was a fun watch!
after watching this for the third time, I STILL love it! lol I love the chase. I love the running. I love when he finally gives in. (sadly, he kept wavering, which made me cray) I love their kinks. I love that there was always consent. I love the office staff (hello Sammy!) I love the bodyguards (all of them, and their crazy shower scene) I love the house characters I love that this is part of the Love Syndrome Universe
BUT...
the editing is such shite! In the middle of a scene, with the bg music blasting, the song abruptly ends, and the scene jumps to something else, just leaving us hanging with what WAS happening. (never to return)
There is more product placement worked into scenes than anything I've ever watched. And the ones that really got me where the ones that had no reason to be in the scene. YES! I'm talking about YOU, pink drink by the tiger cage.
Speaking of which, I wish the tigers were never part of the story. They serve NO purpose, and humans should not make pets out of such beautiful creatures.
Overall, I really enjoy the series. And will rewatch it again and again.
After a VERY long break, I FINALLY finished this mess. smh. It was such a struggle to get through the wash and repeat theme of this show. By the end, I actually LOVED Fei Long, and HATED Pat with a passion. lol
The romance of the story had it's moments in some decent make out scenes, but just barely. The snidely grin that Elyse had on his face in most of his attempts at romance with Pat drove me nuts. His expressions seemed to say "I know you want me, even though you keep saying no. AND I'm so handsome and charming (not) that you can't really resist me." eyeroll
When Pat went off to cry, because he saw E making out with Kim, that really irritated me. Just ONCE I'd love to see that hurt, crying character slap back; march into the room and shout out something like "HOE! Get your hands OFF my man!!" and then grab them by their hair and throw them out of the room. lol
Side note: Wardrobe needs to learn how to dress such pale people. All that cream, and white on Pat just washed him out. No pizzaz of any sort. (and don't get me started on those glasses.)

*awwww that goodbye scene at Jo's condo was precious. North wasn't the least bit shy, he even kissed Jo and hugged him so tightly! (TWICE) and told him he'd miss him a lot. grin
*Loved the video game scene too. Jo asking for a video clip of North (and offering to pay him 100 TBH per second was too funny)
* North missed Jo so much, it was cute when Jo shows up suddenly, North hugs him SO tightly, he cries, and Jo wipes his tears. N tells him just how much he missed him. BUT. NO KISS???? Even after weeks of being apart? shrug
*When Jo asked North to be his bf, WHAT a scene! I swear it was practically a proposal! and yet another tight hug. but NO KISS????? what's the deal director? I mean. put a kiss where it BELONGS!
* omg the horror movie date was so funny. North's yelps and shouts and then dumps the popcorn and covered his eyes was a hoot!
*ep 16 was the cutest! all about North and Jo and their backstory!
*The Finale: this ended nicely for the two main cps. North and Jo still my favs with MANY kisses and sweet moments. Not sure what was up with the other two. smh. Like they were the MAINS but it felt like they barely had any skinship/close moments.
*My favorite scene was when North was so drunk in the bar, and CLIMBED on top of Jo to hug all over him, when that girl came up to Jo trying to flirt. I about lost it!
*Overall, I enjoyed this series. Would rewatch for sure! The actors ALL did a great job, and it was a fun watch!

I love when he finally gives in. (sadly, he kept wavering, which made me cray)
I love their kinks.
I love that there was always consent.
I love the office staff (hello Sammy!)
I love the bodyguards (all of them, and their crazy shower scene)

BUT...
the editing is such shite!
In the middle of a scene, with the bg music blasting, the song abruptly ends, and the scene jumps to something else, just leaving us hanging with what WAS happening. (never to return)
There is more product placement worked into scenes than anything I've ever watched.
And the ones that really got me where the ones that had no reason to be in the scene.
YES! I'm talking about YOU, pink drink by the tiger cage.
Speaking of which, I wish the tigers were never part of the story. They serve NO purpose, and humans should not make pets out of such beautiful creatures.
Overall, I really enjoy the series. And will rewatch it again and again.
By the end, I actually LOVED Fei Long, and HATED Pat with a passion. lol
The romance of the story had it's moments in some decent make out scenes, but just barely.
The snidely grin that Elyse had on his face in most of his attempts at romance with Pat drove me nuts. His expressions seemed to say "I know you want me, even though you keep saying no. AND I'm so handsome and charming (not) that you can't really resist me." eyeroll
When Pat went off to cry, because he saw E making out with Kim, that really irritated me. Just ONCE I'd love to see that hurt, crying character slap back; march into the room and shout out something like "HOE! Get your hands OFF my man!!" and then grab them by their hair and throw them out of the room. lol
Side note: Wardrobe needs to learn how to dress such pale people. All that cream, and white on Pat just washed him out. No pizzaz of any sort. (and don't get me started on those glasses.)
