I have consumed 21 episodes in two days. It's a good series.
The only thing I don't like so far is the writing of Li Tong Guang. He being a carefully trained disciple of Ru Yi should have similar skills and abilities to her, but instead he is basically a person with severe emotional instability. How did he get to where he is being like this? I see it as a contradiction in the script.
The writing doesn't do justice to the fact that he was Ru Yi's disciple. Ru Yi is lethal and unrestrained, so I expected him to be a strong and unpredictable opponent. And if we additionally add good character development, it would have been a feast for me because I feel that the actor's acting is wasted on a limited character that doesn't generate a wide range of emotions. As a viewer, I like complex antagonists and villains.
There was potential for Tong Guang to be an interesting character and not just the driver to strengthen Ru Yi and Yuan Zhou's relationship.
Since I'm in the middle of the drama, I hope there will be some change in his character to give him more layers.
