The first few episodes did have draggy scenes. Example, the concubine begging and apologizing to Minglan’s father on the boat scene. That scene was unnecessary very, very long with just rambling that holds no importance. Another scene was the students talking with the teacher about politics and it was also unnecessary long, like they were aiming to include every written word from the book. But later on, they became less or I just got used to it a d started loving the series more and more.

That is why I am saying that the Shows Starting This Week and Shows Ending This Week list on the main page should not be limited to 12 dramas only. I remember asking the admins to fix that limitation, but they did not get it. Maybe it slows down the main page or there are other issues we don’t know about. Or maybe they are busy and forgot about it.
My only issue is that some users see such messages and start sending release date edits saying this show should be using non-VIP dates because they want more exposure for it on the main page. They are wasting their time and our time.
I don’t mind you thinking it needs more exposure because not a lot of people know it aired, but I hope users reading this would not send us tons of submissions about the release date or spread conspiracy theories that we are blocking Xiao Zhan’s dramas from appearing on the main page.
Answering your questions here: “By featured trailers, I mean 'featured trailers' (about 8 of them) showing right now on the left side of my screen:)” You mean “ Newest Trailers” on the main page? Those automatically show up when staff members upload a trailer, we can’t control it.
“About king's avatar... Was it the only show from tencent available in europe? I am not speaking about mdl being an official promoter... but if one thing appears on a page every day, this is a PUBLICITY too...” I am not sure about your region, it might have been the only drama licensed in your region and allowed on MDL. The US list was regularly updated.

King's Avatar showed up for a long time on your end because that was the only thing you could watch in your region, while the list was regularly being update with new shows for other regions. The “watch the latest episodes” doesn’t even show up on my end cause nothing is available in my region. Also, where is this “ featured....” section? You mean the YouTube link to MDL’s channel? That is just like the articles, videos uploaded by MDL’s YouTube channel.
Users will know about it if they check this page, actors’ pages, latest review, top rated shows, or the feed. We don’t give certain dramas preferential treatment, while others not. That is unfair. It is all done by the system. If we start giving certain dramas a favorable treatment, other would complain that we are not giving xyz drama the same treatment. So the current system is the best, but I wish the Starting this week and ending this week list would not be limited to 12 dramas only.

Just because some users can’t buy a subscription and watch it without subs, doesn’t mean they have to take away the ability from other users who have VIP and understand Chinese to mark it as complete just to advertise a series.
