I totally agree with you. The problem is the writing of the characters. Just for the sake of the romance aspect/scenes of the drama, the characters end up doing things that are very inconsistent with their personalities.
You can see poorly written characters in Goblin. Apparently, the goblin is supposed to be a 900-years-old army general. So you naturally would think that he is mature and wise due to the year he lived, experiences he has been through, people he lost, and the loneliness and helplessness he felt for 900 years? No. The writer is like, let's suddenly, and for some unknown reason, make him act like a 13-year-old girl by worrying about what he wears and what he is holding when the female lead, whom he just recently met, summons him. Moreover, the female lead doesn't act like a teenage high school student, instead, she behaves like a child. She sticks to the goblin straight away after meeting him cause ghosts been telling her that she is his bride. Trust me, no teenage girl would accept she has to be with an older dude because she is told to. She has no independent thoughts at all.

The admins are working on the score algorithm. If you have not notice, MDL's system had a problem as many dramas lately were getting 9s, and even bad dramas were getting 7-8 which is very high.

I’m not trying to start an argument or attack you, I’m just saying that you could have not added the last sentence and your comments would have been as good, if not better. You can still defend your favorite group without calling others haters. But if you don’t want to understand my point, you do what you want.

I dislike plenty of the things people like, and they dislike many of my favorites. Lately, the comment section has become inflammatory on MDL because users keep calling each other haters just for stating their opinions and then fights starts that could lead to one or both being banned. People started fearing the comment section and stopped leaving comments because of people coming at them for stating their opinions that doesn’t involve insulting users, but is an actual valid criticism/review of the show/ep. We should respect each other’s opinions and embrace our differences instead of creating discourse among ourselves.
I'm not sure who is doing it but please don't remove the cover of episode 14. Also, we squared the images so it appears fully. If we don't do that, the faces and text are cut out of the cover. For example, the man on the right side of episode 16's cover is completely cut out if we don't square it.

We don’t choose anything, it is not our fault. The admins developed the pages, staff members have different rules, and us, approval staff, only reject/approve submissions, we have no coding power. Blaming us, regular staff members, will not change anything, they should complain to the admins. Also, I am sure there is a reason the admins limited it to 12, maybe it slows down the main page significantly, but it would be nice for it not to have a limit. Either way, people can still use the search to see the recently release series, the main page is not the only place.
Also, the reason I replied here in the first was because someone was spreading false info that MDL is targeting Xiao Zhan’s dramas and removing them from the main page, etc, and people were submitting dates changes daily and wasting our time. i just wanted to explain the rules in case this users was one of the people who read those false conspiracy theories.

It is not a problem of guidelines as the only thing that involves guidelines and approval staff is the use of VIP dates, which is fair as lots of users on MDL don’t need subs and/or have VIP. If we use the regular non-VIP dates, those people will not be able to mark it as complete even if they finish watching the drama. They would have to wait for the non-VIP date, which is not a good thing in a database that is main purpose is to record your watch progress, not advertise dramas. Imagine not having Viki’s subscription and having to wait for the week’s episodes to be unlocked and then coming here and asking us to use that release date. The VIP dates are official dates, they are even marked in the schedule charts Chinese streaming websites release. There is no reason not to use them, as there are many advantages, and 0 disadvantages.
