Yea.. Japanese shows tend to be more "over the top" than all others. Most of them too over the top for me.
I'm kinda losing interest in dramas at the moment because all the new ones seem kinda.. Slow..

I didn't finish Iris either but started watching Iris 2. So far I haven't really felt that you need to watch the first one. They kinda sum it up well.
Yea it is pretty. I love the same as well. The songs could be a bit better though..

Iris 2 and That Winter, The Wind Blows is interesting so far I hope they wont drop like 7th Grade Civil Servant. 2nd place would be Advertising Genius Lee Tae Baek but it's dropping slightly and A Hundred Year's Inheritance which is mainly interesting because I really want to see what happens when the main guy finds out who his best friends family is.
