This is a well cast show. Too often shows cast an immature girly actress as FL for an older ML but Jing Tian is a mature actress that can act the part of a young girl falling for an older man with ease, no over the top cuteness . I like this couple pairing very much and the story is good. I will now watch Jing Tian's other shows that I have missed since it is so hard to find good lead actresses these days.

I watched to ep 10 and all I saw was a bratty teenager FL full of angst and a "I want I want" attitude. The ML was no better, throwing his morals to the wind, an opportunistic brat. So at what episode do they actually become mature and responsible adults? Maybe I will pick it up at that point.

It is a pretty bad production. You can tell the backgrounds are painted, lighting and colour is poor. AB should not have been cast as the bratty teenage FL and the dubbing voice just doesn't suit her. She is too old for the FL role, the goddess role suits her better. The first 5 episodes made me feel very uncomfortable with the ML's lack of morals. A thief and impersonating a god plus shameless in keeping the goddess in the dark about her real lover. It feels so wrong to me. I feel sorry for the real god who got killed only to lose his identity and his lover. I just want to watch it until ML is exposed as a fraud.

I upped my rating now that I have finished it. I loved the ending. I had downgraded my rating around the ep 17 mark but fortunately I persisted past the few boring episodes and was rewarded with improvements all the way to the end. This could have been better condensed around the middle to maybe 34 episodes. For those who like me thought of giving it up in the middle, DON'T, it is one of the few satisfying endings you get nowadays in dramas.

I liked Lord Kang and Lord Han, the characters were well acted. Not so for the FL, and the ML character is so blah that I don't know why she would fall for him and not either of the Lords. Can't say much about the ML actor as he hasn't really done much except to appear before the FL for a bit of romance bits that are better skipped. I don't like his sister either so I hope Lord Han doesn't fall for her. Mismatched couples all round. Too bad because the storyline is good but Lord Han is more a ML character or even Lord Kang.

I watched Arthdal Chronicles years ago only because it looked different from the usual Korean historicals. I enjoyed it but SJK was only okay , but surprisingly even then I had thoughts that Lee Joon Gi would have fitted the part better, especially with the dual personality of the twin. Now lo and behold I get to watch him as the ML in Season 2, can't wait.

I love this show. The production has a stellar cast. Each time a new character turns up, it surprises me with a well known actor. The story is good and the interactions between characters are good. I love the wuxia action. Can't wait for the next episodes.

I agree with you. I like her in most of her dramas that I have seen but unfortunately I think she is miscast in this one opposite Dylan Wang.

I am disappointed in how the FL's character is cast. I like both FL and ML actors but there is no chemistry between them. The FL antics up to ep 9 so far feels forced and stupid like how the incense incident thrown in his face, come on, you know something is wrong with it and you push it to his face? unbelievably stupid for a supposedly smart person. Not sure if that scene was badly written, acted or directed. The FL has too many wide-eyed scenes which makes her eyes look too big and bulging on her small face.

Looking forward to seeing PHS in a historical again !
