Japanese Gang Warfare Is Apparently My Therapy Now
📝 Okay, Here’s What I Actually Thought...
Started:
“Okay, we're getting deeper into this story now.”
Finished:
“Yep. I'm fully invested. There is no turning back.”
📝 Review (WARNING: Potential Spoilers — I’m Not Saving You from Emotional Damage)
Things just got deeper with End of Sky, and by this point, we're fully immersed in the storyline.
And yet somehow, the action never takes a back seat.
That's probably one of the things I love most about this franchise. I've watched quite a few action franchises, and High&Low is becoming one of the rare ones where I genuinely haven't found a boring part. Even the scenes without fighting keep me completely engaged. There's always something happening, whether it's the characters, the different factions, the banter, or the story slowly pulling all these pieces together.
And now there's another problem.
I've gotten attached to these characters.
The people we've been introduced to since the beginning aren't just names anymore. They're an integral part of the story, and at this point, they've somehow become an integral part of my viewing life too. I'm fully sucked in.
Then there's the fighting.
The fight scenes in this franchise are pure art. Seriously. The choreography, the movement, the sheer scale of some of these fights... they know exactly what they're doing.
And the soundtrack?
Still absolutely epic.
The different factions are another huge part of what makes this franchise work for me. Every group has its own personality, its own style, its own eccentricities, and its own brand of ridiculous banter. You can tell who's who without needing a giant flashing sign telling you which gang you're looking at.
And the Rude Boys?
Still slaying with the parkour.
Honestly, there is still nothing negative I can say about this franchise. It just keeps delivering.
At this point, High&Low has officially become one of my favorite action franchises, and I'm absolutely going to keep this one in my back pocket whenever I need a good action fix.
Because sometimes you don't need a complicated solution to life's problems.
Sometimes you just need Japanese gang warfare, ridiculously good choreography, beautiful men throwing each other through walls, and an absolutely killer soundtrack.
Apparently, that's my therapy now.
💕 Things I Loved
The action. Obviously.
The soundtrack. Also obviously.
The way the different factions continue to have their own identities and personalities instead of blending together into one giant gang-shaped blob.
The banter.
The characters.
The Rude Boys and their parkour.
And the fact that even when nobody is actively beating the ever-loving hell out of someone, the movie still manages to keep me completely invested.
At this point, I'm here for all of it.
😑 Things That Tested My Patience
Nothing.
I have officially reached the stage of this franchise where apparently I have no complaints.
Is that a critical review? Probably not.
Do I care?
Not even slightly.
🔥 And Then There Was THIS...
The realization that I am now emotionally invested enough in multiple Japanese delinquent factions that I will probably become personally offended when someone punches the wrong person.
This franchise has me in its claws.
🫠 So... How Am I Supposed to Feel About This?
Final Mood: 🥊🔥 Fully invested, emotionally attached, and absolutely ready for the next round.
Ten out of ten.
No notes.
Give me the next movie.
