📝 Review (⚠️ WARNING: Potential Spoilers — I’m Not Saving You from Emotional Damage)
Okay, Here’s What I Actually Thought...
Started:
“Welp. This is it.”
Finished:
“Well... that hurt.”
This is the final storyline for the S.W.O.R.D. saga, and honestly, it ended exactly the way it needed to.
Bittersweet.
There were some seriously sad moments in this one, and I'm not going to pretend I wasn't sitting there having feelings about fictional gang members. Because apparently that's where we're at now.
After spending so much time with these characters and watching all these different factions come together, there was something genuinely emotional about reaching the end.
I've watched these groups fight each other, team up, argue, bicker, cause absolute chaos, and somehow become characters I've actually grown attached to. So knowing this was the end of the S.W.O.R.D. storyline definitely hit differently.
And yet, Final Mission still gives us everything that made this franchise so damn fun.
The fight scenes are still fantastic. The soundtrack is still absolutely killing it. And then there are those gorgeous visuals, including that colorful sky at one point that just somehow made the whole bittersweet mood hit even harder.
Because apparently High&Low couldn't just emotionally damage me.
It had to make everything pretty while doing it.
Rude.
The ending itself left me feeling a little sad, but not in a bad way. It felt like an ending. There was closure, there was emotion, and there was the sense that we'd actually reached the end of this particular chapter.
And I always hate when things end.
Especially when I've become attached to the characters.
But for the S.W.O.R.D. saga, this was a good ending.
A bittersweet one, absolutely.
But a good one.
💕 Things I Loved
The soundtrack. Still incredible.
The fight scenes. Still delivering.
The characters I've somehow become emotionally attached to despite the fact that many of them solve problems by punching each other.
The different factions coming together.
The visual moments that made the emotional scenes hit even harder.
And honestly, just seeing this whole storyline finally come together after everything we've been through.
😭 Things That Hurt My Feelings
The ending.
Obviously.
There were some genuinely sad moments here, and after spending this much time with these characters, they hit.
I knew the saga was ending.
I still wasn't prepared for it.
Rude.
🔥 And Then There Was THIS...
That moment when you're watching the final movie in a franchise and suddenly realize you've gone from:
“I'm watching a Japanese action movie.”
to:
“These are my people now and I will be emotionally inconvenienced by their suffering.”
Yeah.
That happened.
🫠 So... How Am I Supposed to Feel About This?
Final Mood: 🥹🥊💔 Bittersweet, emotionally compromised, but ultimately satisfied.
Final Mission gave the S.W.O.R.D. saga a solid send-off. It still had the action, the music, the larger-than-life characters, and all the ridiculousness I've come to love about High&Low, but it also allowed the ending to actually feel like an ending.
And now I'm sad because it's over.
Which means there is only one logical thing to do.
Watch more High&Low.
