What a very wholesome Asian BL drama! The entire series is so light to watch. Also, for some reason, AiNhai reminds me of TinCan from LBC but less toxic. They're both adorable. Lastly, if there's one thing that really annoys me, it's the subtitles. At times, the English translation doesn't make sense, and there are some episodes where the subtitles are out of sync, which is really annoying 'cause it ruins the vibes. I'm giving this, 6/10.
is it just me who found this boring? i can't even recall any interesting scene. sure the production is better…
I don’t totally agree with you but I kinda understand your point. Yes, there are boring parts but there are also some “kilig moments” (as we call it in the Philippines) especially towards the ending. And I think that’s one of the factors why SE is over hyped. But then again, I understand where you’re coming from ‘cause nowadays, BL plots are repetitive (particularly series). It’s boring especially to someone who is a long-time fan of BL series. So yeah, I see your point.
8 eps is not enough. I'm craving for more. Yes, it is lacking on some elements but I'll let it slide because it brought me back to the time when I was still a newbie in the realm of BL - the excitement, the "kilig", and magic ✨. So, if you're reading this and having second thoughts to watch CBAW, this is your sign to go and enjoy yourself. It's worth it. **It's free on WeTV. Let's support them by watching it there.**
The premise is very interesting. The cinematography is good. I wish they'd explored more the character of the two protagonists instead of showing too many juicy scenes but nonetheless, this short film is excellent.
after watching The Best Story, this should push through! My gay ass is crying like shit and I'm craving for more YinWar! BL gods (if there is) please listen to our cries. 🙏😭😭😭
Technically, the story ended in ep 8 and ep 9 is just an alternative ending to the story. If you've watched carefully ep 9, it is lacking in some important details if it is a continuation of the previous episode (ep 8) so ep 9 is an alternative ending.
10/10 for me. I am expecting a sequel because of that cliffhanger. I hope we could see more of the romantic relationship of Hiyakawa and Mikado in the sequel.
If you're reading this and planning to watch this series, GO AHEAD! I'm telling you, it's really worth your time. It maybe dragging at the first few episodes but, as the story progress, things will shock you.
If you're reading this and planning to watch this film, don't hesitate. It's 10/10.
