I'm a real KDrama fan but I found the first episode very hard going, it simply felt very slow and nothing much…
Glad it gets better! Though idk about the method you used to find out, it's like reading a few pages of a book from the middle. I'd be afraid of spoilers 😅 But I don't think I have the patience to wait for it till then lol, the vibes were just off
Had to drop halfway through the first episode. Something about this feels off, like it's trying too hard to be funny - the acting, script, and background music doesn't land for me.
I was rooting for Culinary Monster to win this but oh well :/ Overall, it was a fun, fast-moving watch (though maybe too fast-moving sometimes). Season 1 felt a bit more interesting tbh, there were a lot more contestants to root for, and the pacing was better.
Hoping for a season 2!! The editing and OST is also so good. Lee Hong Nae makes me want to root for his character here, though he's one of the bad guys I know ... 😅
Ahhhh didn't realise this was an ongoing series when I started! Can't wait for the next episode. The little clues peppered around makes it quite satisfying trying to figure it out ourselves.
As a side note: the soundtrack by Yuuri is so good!
If they're making season 4, I hope they take more inspiration from season 1. That was still the most solid, well thought-out season. Ep 15 here was great - it had more of a darker, serious tone alongside just the right amount of humour. Ep 16 was also good, but I feel like it leaned into the display and theatrics a little too much. Overall, it was a fun ride though.
Glad I ignored the ratings. This was a solid watch, and Ryu Jun Yeol and Shin Hyun Been do a really good job here. It has a few flaws regarding the plot though, as a few comments point out, but it's overall quite intriguing.
7.5/10 from me. Entertaining, but it has its flaws. Loved the OST the most.
The story had potential but it could have been better, as there's several things that are just unbelievable. I also couldn't bear a couple of characters and their choices - In Kyung is shown to be a good reporter, but oh god her character is so tactless here! And I don't even know how I'm supposed to feel about In Hye - I could empathise with her at the start but then her character just ended up being so self-centred, that I feel like the ending doesn't justify her behaviour until that moment at all.
And too many things happen for drama's sake. Like what do you mean you went there with all the ledgers and they were burnt in front of you? What was with that acid scene towards the end? And why was In Joo just going around alone when called, even after everything that happened? Why did Park Jae Sang have to jump at all when the exit polls showed he was about to win? How do they just randomly transfer such large amounts of money and go around travelling as minors? What happened to In Hye's school education?
(This one, in case they ever change it: https://kisskh.at/photos/rOQA2 )
