Everything is an excuse when couples lose interest in each other and are not willing to work together to fix their…
The real issue is tied to the concept of marriage in the 21st century and beyond. It was designed for procreation in an orderly socially acceptable way. As Gen Z is showing, neither marriage or procreation are necessary for happy successful lives. Global birth rates in industrialized countries and the combinations of those not getting married and divorce rates show it is rarely sustainable or desirable. Guess it depends on which chakras you prefer to spend your time.
Actually I saw once in a YouTube video that it's normal for women to cheat on their spouses and that women are…
Not according to the research. Both genders cheat. They cheat for different reasons but they cheat all the same. The research shows that men cheat 57% and women cheat 43%. The big differences come in who they cheat with. Heterosexual couples have different cheating patterns.....the men cheat with other men---often called being on the "down low" 13% of their 57% while the women cheat with other women 3%. Does it matter who married heterosexual couples cheat with??? Nope, but the cheating numbers for the LGBTQ community are identical.
Cheating is also tied to age, education levels, and income brackets. For men the global issue of ED tends to reduce the cheating activity. Ironically, the majority of divorced women in the high end of these categories don't remarry, but have very active sex lives through their 70s. Higher education, higher income couples have less cheating their their lower category counterparts. They also have a lower divorce rate. There are thousands of studies you can find easily on Google Scholar.
Viki shows it is available in Mainland China but is not available anywhere else. I put in a request to Viki to have it available in USA,. Not sure how that works, but it was an option so I decided to give it a try. Cheers Hope
I think this show had potential to be really good, but I don't think the main couple has chemistry, mostly because…
The orientation of the majority of K-pop and BL actors is straight or bi. It is always a bit humorous because the audience for both these genres is young straight women. The absolute worst kissing scenes are in traditional C-dramas where both partners seem to have few skills but are actually the director's call. Kissing is highly scripted and actors are told how long to do which aspect of the kiss....from looking at one another to the hesitation to the physical kiss....and the exit. What the audience doesn't hear is all the sound directly given in these scenes.
In this series (which is one of the best written and acted to date this year)...all 4 characters are going through their own personal battles with not so much their sexual orientation...but want it to remain private. There is a clear age gap between both the life experience and sexual experience of the main couple.
If what you are into is lots of sexual touching, groping, nonstop discussion of sex, and/or sexual harassment without permission....then you should be in love with the "Bed-friends" series. That is the only aspect of that series with no storyline at all.....just sexual exploits....both consensual and not. Happy Viewing, Hope
This was a much-anticipated series based on the early previews. The premise is promising and it has a cast with many new faces. The lead couple visually looks to be a replica of Boss/Noeul from "Love is in the Air". We are now on episode 4. There seems to be much-unrealized potential in this series. There are only so many screen moments of moody no honest dialogue....or any dialogue just silence that is not effective. There are other segments where it comes together. There are many random scenes that add nothing to the central relationship. For one partner to be the continual victim and the other the rescuer is a great basis....but when the victim partner continues to place himself in situations that place him in danger....it is unclear why and how many examples before the screenwriter thinks the viewers "get it"? The BL industry as a whole would greatly benefit by adding more male writers versus all the female writers who frequently don't fully develop the characters. Even partner writers that are male and female have better balance in the overall scripting as we saw in Kinn & Porsche (even though there were issues with that writing team). When the script is weak, the director and actors have to make up for a gap in content with their roles. An unfair burden to place on new actors. Having focused on the context/story of this series, I would still recommend people check it out. Young actors deserve to be seen and the alpha partner in this relationship has real potential for much better roles in the future. As more of the K-pop guys expand into BL roles and with the recent release of Wang Yibo's first jump into his own BL video, it is clear that this billion-dollar genre has a diverse future. Cheers, Hope

Well everyone should definitely follow whatever actor or script they like. This is a "Popsicle" script where the characters are the same in all the episodes without evolution and a script that is redundant with the genre. Depth of growing characters due to the events of the story. This is why Yan/s character in "loving never forgetting" was so excellent...all the characters in that drama evolved as events molded their transformation. Yan turns down those scripts now and does "Popsicle" scripts. Totally his call and I am totally ok with that, but most people have limited time for viewing.....so for me to invest my time....the turn on that time needs to be worthwhile. If all I wanted was a hot guy taking off his shirt in a 30 minute episode....there are tons of those without reliving 1980. I do read many reviews as I am interested in many perspectives. This is the third "Popsicle" drama Yan has done.....it is better than when he was a fashion designer....can't even remember the name of that one as I only go to episode 3 and bailed. Happy viewing....Cheers, Hope

Then you may not like the one that captivated my team which was Loving Never Forgetting. I remember the 1980s so his hair, costuming... like him trying to relive his F4 days (but that group was formed in 2001, they kinda reminded me of the US group the Monkees in music harmony).....but you should definitely enjoy it if it speaks to you. Happy viewing---Cheers, Hope
I always knew this was going to be a rollercoaster of different emotion. Damnit!!!Whenever they are together I…
This script is a hodgepodge of old stories from Lolita to 1960s porn where the pool guy takes off his shirt for some action. A middle aged man with no direction being pursued by a spoiled "rich" little girl....who is the "forbidden flower".. Often ratings are given simply from the fanbase who is usually loyal regardless of the quality of the work for celebrities. Yan picks these looser scripts frequently which do not show his abilities as an actor. So wish he would have accepted the better scripts he was offered.
LOL...this is a takeoff of the old film Lolita. The script is weak and the characters are unrealistic even for fictional dramas. Why is a middle-aged man living in a shack and doing odd jobs for money with his eye on a young girl who is spoiled with no discipline and who has an "incurable disease"?
Seriously, she is the virginal "forbidden flower" that the middle-aged, no job, no money, but great with his shirt off man will ultimately "de-flower". The 1980s have messaged they want his wardrobe back...LOL. What is up with Jerry Yan???
This is the third script with this dynamic that he has made. His film "loving is never forgetting" was excellent...so why these poor scripts?? Ironically, when you read why this series is getting high scores, it is all tied to his fanbase who would rate him high if all he did was "green tea commercials".
He makes few films and I know he has been shown much better scripts that he rejects..... hmmm, mid-life can be traumatic for both men and women if they have not evolved and grown as they have matured. Was so hoping this new series would be different. I am lways interested in other perceptions of a series. Happy Viewing...Cheers, Hope
"... so these guys should stick to hetero scripts""Do it right or don't do it at all" would be a self-defeating…
Well stated!! Wish you had been on the writing team for this drama. The basic premise was good, but the character exchanges on all levels remains totally frozen. Cheers, Hope
The first episode was amazing. Kuea and Lian’s relationship is beautiful and has progressed even more. ☺️
It is always great to read through the range of perspectives of viewers. While I like all the actors, I am not so thrilled with the script and more specifically, the non-evolution of the Keus character. We did all shift to watch the "Be My Boyfriends 2 Tour" and the "Rose in da House" series which was hysterical. Great comedy after the first episode of CP2 ended. Cheers, Hope
These guys are hilarious in this. Boun carrying his cut-out character was too funny. We shifted over to watch this for Zee not realizing BL "royalty" was in this movie. We were just working through Zee's drama list. This series needs wider distribution onto Viki or IQ...at least for clicks on YouTube.
Must we have a second go-round of Kuea's spoiled child antics forcing Zee into a perpetual parent role? Zee Pruk Panich is an excellent actor and it is so sad to see him underutilized in this first episode. This run away, hide, act hurt, pout of Keus's was barely tolerable in the first series. His maturation is much needed....why would a man like Zee be interested in this kid long-term without substantial maturation of his behavior??? This is a clear issue of amazingly poor script writing for a second series with the main characters. While the two supporting couples are interesting....they are not strong enough to carry the full series. The actors for both Kuea and Zon in Why R U? look are almost identical and act very much the same. Please note, we can watch Zee in 10 other dramas with 5 yet to be released. If this one doesn't get any better, our watch group will simply shift to his other dramas. Not the review I had hoped to write when I saw this first episode release.
