I really wanted to love Bon Appétit, but the execution is just... bland. For a show centered on Michelin-star cooking, the lead performance felt remarkably one-note. Yoona’s portrayal of Ji-yeong lacks the 'grit' you’d expect from a world-class chef; instead of a professional out of her element, we got the same wide-eyed, idol-style reactions we’ve seen in every other rom-com. It feels like she’s playing 'Yoona as a chef' rather than actually inhabiting the character. Without any real depth in the acting, the high-stakes palace intrigue just feels like a low-budget skit
