As someone who has both read the Manga as it was being written down and watched the show the day it was released, let me assure you. The reason why this drama is rated very high is because of the dark matter it deals with. On the surface level yes it might look like a 'student-teacher romance'. But this show is more about the dark themes like suicide, suspension bridge effects, loneliness etc. It's not a major spoiler (happens the moment show/Manga begins): Would a teacher confess to a student of being in love with them just so that they wouldn't jump off of the rooftop because someone else broke the student's heart? Did he even mean that? What else could he have said in the moment?

Also every behaviour that is considered wrong including but not limited to stalking, student teacher romance etc is condemned outright. It is called out wrong. I can assure you, this work is not promoting student teacher romances. ALSO I genuinely wish you would give this Manga a chance. This Manga is FLAWLESS. I loved every single chapter. Show tried to do that but due to censorship laws and ofc you can't show dark topics in such details, it's more humor/cute. The Manga is darker (still humorous) and very thought provoking. Give it a try please!
