You dont have to "look" suicidal or depressed to be suicidal or depressed. Thats not how it works. If anything, that assumption makes actual suicidal and depressed people seem like their faking, which makes them less likely to get the help they need.

Chinese accents are more like Indian accents than American accents. Each dialect is almost its own language. It would be like this: a person with super thick irish accent is the main character on an American TV show but everyone around them spoke in random American accents, like midwestern American English, or a Georgian accent, or a Brooklyn accent. All of these actors would be speaking in strong and desperate accentsand the show qould hardly be watchable. Sure, they could get each the actor a speech coach, but that would take time and money. If this were a low budget tv show, they may not have time and money so they just dub over.
Not all chinese actors are properly trained through acting schools and even then, getting rid of an accent can be hard. Since China produces a truly absurd number of dramas every year, the companies don't want to waste time training an actor how to speak in the standard television manderin accent, so they just dub over.
Korean dramas have a much more international audience thanks to the Hallu Wave, so they are willing to buy better sound equipment to help pick up what the actors are saying clearly.
Sure, some of it is laziness, but some of it is just lack of time and money. Dubbing can be very useful in this regard.
Chinese dramas, and indeed, dramas and movies around the world will almost always have something they could improve upon, but for now, this is the system that works.

Actors with the last name Kim or characters with the last name Kim. Pick one and explain or specify that you mean either. Stop getting mad at people in the comments for being confused when you have a list that mixes and matches. Also, your description doesn't help. Not everyone has seen all the dramas you've seen. Explain that you mean both actors and characters.
