I haven't watched perfect match yet, I'm just cruising the comments for now but if i may offer my answer...like just for friendly discussion's sake.....This question once came up when two guys where compared...one was a gun-wielding sadistic murder in the mafia who also attempted sexual assault and everyone loved him cause he was cool and hot and stuff....the other guy cheated once and was like.....the worst human ever on earth. So naturally some people had questions.
It's simple.....Tantai Jin and DFQC and all those other guys represent a type of man which is actually non existent in any reality. They are pure fiction without the smallest hint of reality for viewers. The female characters there are also not women that many of us can relate too, they are either so rich and outgoing and brave and reckless and smart or ...well fairies and gods...when people watch them....they don't really empathize much with them
but women from shows like these and New life begins etc...are more repeatable. so are their struggles. The man too, the kind of bad they are, is a kind which many might have come across or surely will at some point. They are more realistic, and so is their 'toxicity'.

And telling the truth doesn't mean not watching. To me if he cant act he can't, i can still watch him and cringe but it doesn't mean he's good.
