And the romance makes sense and shows why for example xiao se comes to love sikongs daughter. Her mischievousness . Her fighting spirit. In the pavillion arc she was going to sactifice her life for him. Hence he had the choice of goong to the 4th floor and becomong an immortal with untimate power or saving her. He chose her which shows his characters and why he was chosen for thenumber 1 sword...

The cartoon will be better was good until ep 30 then some bright spark decided to make his own story and diverges greatly from the novel which was epic...this was crap and loses its way. Most of the idiots here are wating lbgt stuff or how gorgeous the men are instead of good storyline. Which if the followed the novel would have been greatness. It divulges significantly from 35 onwards...someone decided to write their own story and it was crap...full of holes

Its was crap. It contributed nothing to the storyline.The Pavillion arc was integral for the ending to work. Only the people who just watch the series and not read will rave. Seing xiao se getting knocked arond by wuxin never hapoened the novel. Xiao se had a chance to become an immortal but chose the girl in the pavillion arc. The level up he got there in power allowed him to fight lobely swordsman and be chosen for the sword because he impressed the guy there for his choices. So if wuxin kicks his ass around in 36 can you bright sparks tell me how it makes sense he can fight lonelyswordsmsn. Better of watching the cartoon after this crap

Important parts are missing that make it great. Like ep 35 is nonsense that was just created and contributed nothing to the story. They getting rid of the pavillion where xiao se power get increased that makes the lady arc against lonely swordsnan...so turned out crap

Ep 35 was not in the novel...also see they skipping important parts of the story. Next part was not supposed to be go rescue wuxin. Was supposed to be the place where there all get power ups and xiao se get to be sword deity level but i think they taking it out so xiao se will be weaker than wuxin . This part was very important to prepare xiao se the hsve same powrr as lonely swordsman and to set up the special sword but they ruined it and then after its lonely swordman arc and ending
